Misty Mountain Camp Resort

They were kind enough to allow me to dump my tanks for a fee. It was such a charming campground! The employees were friendly. The place was very well maintained and had fun things set up for the kids to do. Next time I'm passing through, I will absolutely enjoy a night here.

Everything about Misty Mountain is amazing. From the easy check-in, to the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff (shoutout Amanda and Brandy!!), to the fun event schedule. We stayed in the screened-in porch cabin just for one night but it was perfect. It had everything we needed including AC, dishes, fridge, bathroom accommodations (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) and even a TV. The store was also very nice for things we forgot to pick up like snacks and hand lotion but included almost everything you would need including snacks, beverages, towels, etc. We didn’t stay for long but they had a smore’s bonfire and live music on the Saturday night we were here. They have a jumping pad, a fishing lake, clubhouse with pool tables, a pool (we didnt use but I think it’s open between Memorial Day and Labor Day) and a water rock panning thing that’s perfect for the family! The campground is only around 20 minutes west of Charlottesville and there are a TON of wineries and breweries within a 10 minute drive. I could not recommend Misty Mountain enough. Everyone was so friendly and we will 100% be back!

The facilities were very clean and modern. Easy to get to and family friendly! Beautiful grounds with a lovely stream the runs through. Lovely fenced dog area and great bounce area for the kids.

Beautiful campground! I don’t expect a lot from campground bathrooms but this place had the cleanest bathrooms/ showers I’ve ever seen at a campsite. They have everything you would need. My only complain is I didn’t book a long enough stay. I’d love to comeback someday!

I have reviewed over 180 campgrounds in 45 states and 10 providences. Camping sites in the woods are very nice. Some hiking within this large campground. They are quite accommodating with late stay requests.
