Very nice campgrounds. Clean park and clean restrooms and showers. A bit of a drive to get to it, but worth it. Staff were very attentive. If I am ever this way I would definitely stay again.

Took our family of four tent camping here for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. Already planning our next trip!

If you’re looking to unplug and actually hear yourself think, Salthouse Branch delivers. We visited midweek and practically had the place to ourselves. Just one other tent camper in the entire park, which made for an incredibly relaxed atmosphere.
The campground is quiet and well suited for anyone who wants a low key outdoor experience. The lack of crowds let us move at our own pace, which is exactly what a camping trip should feel like.
Swimming was a highlight. The water was great and easy to access. The park also offers plenty of opportunity for fishing and boating if that’s your thing; we could have easily spent full days out on the water. Whether you’re into active water recreation or just want to float and relax, the options are there.
For anyone looking to escape the noise without venturing too far, Salthouse Branch is a hidden gem, especially if you can sneak away midweek. We’ll definitely be back.

Very friendly campground!
This was our first visit here. Also my husband’s first time backing up our 25’ camper. Site 28 in the second loop. All sites in this loop appeared to be tight to back into, especially due to trees. Fortunately a camper with quite a bit of experience backed our camper in for us!
We liked walking the trail right by the water.
Next time we hope to stay in the upper loop!

Every time I come here im pleased. We stayed in site 70 it was peaceful and the employees and people camping where polite and nice. Very clean camp ground too reminds me of camping as a kid and now my son gets to experience it.
