Grounds well tended, visitor center well staffed and had plenty of information and books. Bathrooms were very clean. Campsite very nice and the area quiet. Views were stunning and roads and signs well tended. Outstanding park.

If Lap of nature is a thing then Big Meadow testifies it. Kids friendly hikes near by. Gas station at visitor center gives you peace of mind. You will find cell phones signals at visitor center and at Big meadow . Staff were very good and welcoming. We were on loop E and restrooms were in abundance and easy walk from site. Though it’s a bear country but camp ground is very safe and most sites were provided with storage boxes. You can also see sky full of stars if you steps out of your tent . Camp store closes at 6 PM. 5 dollars for 10 mins showers.

The site we had was amazing! It was tucked all the way back in the forest and very quiet. Clean facilities weren’t too far away and the camp showers run by the concessionaire are always appreciated after long hikes! If you tent camp, getting a walk in site at Big Meadows is well worth the short walk.

Nice super short trail back to it, felt private. Great position, and the nearby waterfalls were great hikes.

I had a fantastic experience here on a three week stay. The park rangers and hosts were helpful, good natured, and friendly. My main activity is bicycling. Skyline Drive is in excellent shape. The hills and curves are great as are the views. I found traffic to be light during the week with a moderate increase on weekends. Drivers were cautious and bike friendly.

Good campground. Zero Verizon signal. Expensive firewood. Wish the grass was mowed shorter.
