I almost don't want to leave a glowing review so that people don't take this site in the future, but I've grown up coming to Big Meadows and I've stayed at a bunch of different sites and this one has been one of my favorites. We are far, far enough away from any generator of a camper or RV, on the outside of the whole campground so we get more nature sounds, we had deer walking around and through out site in the morning and evening. Birds talking morning, noon and night. And at night, while watching our fire roar, we had a gorgeous view of the stars. Great distance to the bathrooms but also far enough away. Trash also right next to the bathrooms so we could walk our trash up every night. The spot itself was large enough for our 6 person North Face Wawona tent to be positioned comfortably without being on decline in anyway. No tree coverage in the morning from the sun but that's OK. We had plenty of room to set up a 10x10 tent around the picnic table and still had distance from the fire pit. The driveway fit my Rogue with 2 bikes hitched on the back with at least 5-6 ft of room behind and maybe 3-4 ft in front (I'm bad at measuring distances by eye).

This spot will now always be the 1st one I look to book when we're looking to come to Big Meadows, I have fallen in love with this spot. Hope you do too, but not really because I don't want you to take it when I want it. ;-)
