Beautiful and clean campgrounds, we can’t wait to get back! Campsite was easy access through Story of the Forest trail to Dark Hallow Falls and/or Rose River.

We had such a relaxing stay at Big Meadows Campground in Shenandoah National Park. The campground is peaceful and well-maintained, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. One of the highlights was how convenient it is to several nearby hikes—perfect for getting out and exploring without having to travel far. Overall, it was a calm, refreshing getaway, and we’d definitely come back again.

Staff was relaxed and laid back. The bathrooms had a laundry tub to do dishes. Super windy every night and one night most of the facilities at Big Meadows lost power.

great pull through site. fit my crewcab dually with a 35' tt camper easily with lots of room left over. this is a big site. less than 2" out of lever from wheels to wheels. great coverage with T-mobile. Bathrooms are close by with hot water. utility sink for doing dishes. map says there is community water at this site but it's not there. generator hours are limited to a few hours in the morning and evening. hot showers are $5 / 10 minutes.

Clean bathrooms, but no showers. YOU have to go to the special shower room and deposits mucho dinero.

Even with the cut backs, the bathrooms were open and the trash was emptied. We've spent many nights up there and we love it. Let's start funding our parks again.
