We love camping at Big Meadows campground. The sites are well maintained, bathrooms are kept clean. We enjoy seeing the wildlife that lives in the park. We were leaving the campsite and discovered that one of our vehicles had a dead battery - our fault. The campground host (I think his last name is Snow) came to our rescue. He was friendly and had us on our way home quickly. We plan to be back again.

This was my first time solo camping and everything went so smoothly. The campsite was so beautiful and had a lot of shade from the sun. My favorite part about camping is setting up my hammock, so relaxing. The park’s water tastes so delicious and pure!

Perfect campsite for our day trips on the Appalachian Trail. Weather was absolutely perfect, and the forecasted rain never showed up. I love being able to use my senior pass to access the national parks, especially skyline Drive and even more especially the Appalachian Trail. The campgrounds were Well-maintained and clean. No problems with any of the facilities. Very nice getting to know other campground guests. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

We enjoyed our 12 night stay. Quiet, peaceful, deer grazing was beautiful. Dark Hollow falls is worth the hike to see. Interesting movies about the park and its inhabitants both wildlife & vegetation. It was interesting also just to watch people come & go. All the different types of camping equipment was pretty cool to see.

We had a great time despite the low clouds. We got to hike Stony Man, look at the stars and enjoy the views. My 9 year old even became a Junior Ranger. Everything was excellent.
