Good location in park. Camp grounds are close together, but as a solo camper, I actually liked this. Folks were polite w/music and noise late at night. Had occasional cell service, but most west facing outlooks had service and the vistor center right up the road had free WiFi so not really a concern.

Campground was very nice and easy for find your way around. Bathrooms are typical national park bathrooms. Had a good amount of space between campsites so you didn’t feel like you were on top of other people. Staff is very nice and there is a shop to get fire wood and water. Overall great experience.

Right at the beginning of the main entrance so it’s a very busy with limited privacy.

SIte and Park are fantastic. THe showers on site are all pay. I was a little surprised because I am used to state park campgrounds where that is not the case but it was not that big of a deal and was well worth the $5 for them being clean and private.

Beautiful view, easy access to most anything you would need (i.e. gas, supplies, etc.). A short walk to a great hike - Lewis Falls Trail. Always a great deal for the cost of camping at a National Park. The rangers were very nice, helpful and attentive.

We camped here on Veteran's Day (Tuesday) and the day after (Wednesday). The bathrooms on E loop were open on Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. They were closed sometime later Wednesday morning. Not a super big deal, just meant you had to walk a little farther for the bathrooms.
Many, many years ago, Big Meadows was open through the end of November. It had been closing on Veteran's Day for many years; however, this year they extended the closing to the end of November. Many, many years ago when we would camp at Big Meadows during the week of Veteran's Day, E loop and the other older (original) loops were closed. The loops were open, but the bathrooms closed.
The bucks were definitely chasing after the does.
