The seasonal campers played VERY loud music ALLLLLLLLLL day and very late into the evening. We couldn't play music on our site because we couldn't hear it. I finally had to ask then to turn it down at 10pm just so we could sleep.

The place is definitely off the beaten path but the drive is beautiful, with lots of deer, so take it slow. The campsite is clean and has great views of the water. Our site was in the trees and very nice.
Being so far back is a downside if you need a store, forgot something or need quarters for laundry like I did. The office doesnt provide quarters, or fire rings which was a bummer as we had just got some smores stuff for the kids as it was our last campground on our two week trip.
The pond seemed too dried up for the kids to fish but they tried anyway with no luck. However the campground cant be blamed on what I'd assume is lack of rain.
The bathhouses are large and laundry room was the best one we have seen yet. We had to cut our stay short and the staff was super great about it and even welcomed us to stay for their labor day cookout before we left. Which was very nice.

Its not bad for the price. Its practically free. Its a niceish place although if you are camping beware: They do not offer any form of fireplace at any site, you need to bring your own and are not allowed any form of open fire. Also for most activities you need to bring your own stuff. Its a bit run-down but it is quiet. Although it is a bit in the middle of nowhere so.

This campsite’s a coastal haven! Stunning ocean views, constant breezes, & vibrant sunsets soothe the soul 🏖️. Nancy & Doug’s warm hospitality shines, campers are friendly, & laundry’s spotless. Cabin’s cozy but needs exterior TLC 🏠. Perfect for quiet family escapes—Cape Charles beaches just 30 mins away!

I’ve been coming to Virginia Landing for six years. I love the long walks and the beautiful trees, also the paths the grass. I was more than disappointed in the way the park looks now. Why isn’t the grass cut like the park looked a year ago ?????? This is not desirable in any way shape or form. Since the buildings were closed and back where the pier was closed. The beautiful cut grass and pristine grounds is all we had . Are you closing? Now I’m heart broken. Since I’ve been camping here I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the employees. This is such a shame. I’m praying for a change.
