Was unable to use my Star Link!! Too many trees!
Nice private camp spot. For the location was good for a stop over one night.
Bathrooms were fair ! Picnic table needed to be replaced! Honestly, it needed to be on the burn pile!!

Nice quiet campground. Not too far from town but feels like your really in the woods. There was a road closure while we stayed and that may have helped with the peace. Bathrooms were very clean and the camp hosts were quite friendly.

Started out reserving a site, then experienced an electrical issue with our travel trailer, so we had to leave and return 100 mi home. I was not sure how long or even if I could fix the issue, so I cancelled the reservation. The issue turned out to be my power cord. So, returned to the campground and took a FF site that was available. Can't say enough good about the two campground Hosts, Joe and Kym, for taking a personal interest in helping us enjoy the weekend that had started on a bad note. Very quiet campground, clean restrooms...due to extra effort by Joe and Kym. Will return soon!

The reserved sites need to be managed better! You should not be able to reserve a site for one night! It messes up the ppl that wanna camp there all weekend!

Getting There
From Wytheville, VA, follow I-77 north to Exit 47. Turn left onto Route 717
and drive 4 mi to Stony Fork Campground. Total travel distance is 10 mi.

Stony Fork Campground is accessible via I-77, with Exit 47 located approximately 6 miles south of the campground.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check-in time is 2 PM and check-out time is 12 PM.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Rates do not include discounts or additional fees for hookups.
Vehicles & parking
- Vehicles must be parked on the paved parking spur only.

- Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
