A nice quiet campground. Well maintained with sites separated from each other and a creek running through the middle. Things to do not too far away but too close either!!

This a beautiful, forested gem of a campground with a creek crossed by 4 bridges. It has 4 bath houses kept exceptionally clean by hosts, Kim and Joe. This father/daughter team are hardworking and friendly. They are assisted by their furry 4 legged side kicks, Millie and Stormy. We've camped for over 46 years and this campground is absolutely our favorite for its quiet beauty. The bathrooms and picnic tables need updating. ALSO, BECAUSE THIS LOCATION IS REMOTE, THE GATE SHOULD BE CLOSED AT 10 AND REOPENED AT 7. IT IS UNSETTLING WHEN CARS RIDE THROUGH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. MOST CAMPGROUNDS DO CLOSE GATES AT NIGHT.

Camping in the forest, beautiful stony creek with Fish.
Hard to find sunlight. This is not a park, way too overgrown.

I love this quiet campground. It has no pool, park, store, laundry, or anything like that, which is why I like it. It's just a peaceful place to camp.

From Wytheville, VA, follow I-77 north to Exit 47. Turn left onto Route 717
and drive 4 mi to Stony Fork Campground. Total travel distance is 10 mi.

Stony Fork Campground is accessible via I-77, with Exit 47 located approximately 6 miles south of the campground.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check-in time is 2 PM and check-out time is 12 PM.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Rates do not include discounts or additional fees for hookups.
Vehicles & parking
- Vehicles must be parked on the paved parking spur only.

- Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
