Many guests appreciate the rustic charm and the unique experience of unplugging from technology, while some highlight the efficiency of the propane lighting and heating. We arrived late at night, so it was a bit scary to go in and settle in.
It has almost everything you need—you just need to bring your own food, water, blankets, and maybe a frying pan if you want to cook something, as the pans there were quite old. The previous guest left the place very clean.
We struggled to turn on the propane lights and eventually had to call the emergency contacts listed there. The first person didn’t answer, but the second lady helped us, even though she said she stopped working for the cabin service a few years ago. You need to turn on the gas for a few seconds before lighting it with a match from the bottom.
We had a great time there. Thank you, USFS!
