What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, friendly and accommodating staff, and clean facilities, offering a peaceful camping experience with lovely views of the lake. Many visitors appreciated the ample space between sites and the campground's overall cleanliness, noting it as a great place for families and outdoor activities. However, some campers reported issues with uneven tent sites, occasional water problems, and the presence of pests like earwigs and goatheads, which detracted from their experiences.

Sprinklers hit our campsite soaked our outdoor rugs, tv picnic table and food after 10 pm. Bathrooms were filthy, our items down at the sandy beach just below the campground were stolen after using our paddle boards and kayak. Anchor lines, vest stolen also.

The hostess was so kind and welcoming. She was very helpful with checking in and finding a great spot to camp. The view was so beautiful!! It was also nice and quiet.

What a lovely camp experience we had at Charbonneau Campground. We camped there the weekend after July 4th. A nice, quiet campground. People respectful of each other. Following the lease laws and other rules, including quiet hours! Grounds and facilities well maintained. Hosts out often, circulating the sites. No complaints from our party of 5.

Great management, too bad there isn’t a way to directly contact park host by phone, in case we needed to clarify or report any problems. Overall we still are satisfied with our experience, especially the discount price for seniors with the America the Beautiful pass.

Loved the place - we had the best spot right down on the water , shallow for kids , fished all day - kayaked , only down side was lots of spiders , bathroom was ok but for a campground only $30 a night can’t be beat . Trash service was over flowing but it was a holiday weekend.

Beautiful park. Some sites right on the water, but our site (no water view) felt private because of surrounding trees and because the sites are carefully arranged.

We love Charbonneau, have been going there for years. This year was one of the best yet. The weather was typical spring, some of everything but the campground was well maintained and the workers just couldn't have been better. We are going back in a few weeks and very much looking foreward to it.

The grass was dry and full of thorns. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Probably an ok site for someone planning to boat.
