Mt Baker RV Park

We were looking for an RV campground that was pet friendly, clean, had full hookups and was near Mt. Baker and Snoqualmie National Forrest. My husband also needed a reliable internet connection as he works remotely. We found all these things in Mt. Baker RV Park. When doing my research I read mixed reviews on this park. Either people loved it or hated it. For the negative reviews I will say they must be strictly based on the fact that yes, there are full time permanent residents and yes some of their campers are older, but we never heard a peep out of them and rarely saw them unless they were driving to work or taking out the trash. We came during the week and had the entire row dedicated for visitors mostly to ourselves. One of my absolute non-negotiables is that the place that we're staying be pet friendly and have at minimum a walking path for our dog. There are two options here. You can either take a short potty walk around the half look that goes past the tent campsites (there were none there during our stay) or you can take the outer trail into a wooded area. Cross the dirt road and you're literally in Snoqualmie National Forrest with a beautiful trail for ample walking and sniffing for the dog. There is a immaculately clean laundry room on site with several washing machines and dryers and a change machine in case you forget yours. There is no laundry soap so make sure to bring some. The showers are coin operated and you'll need 4 quarters for 8 minutes (plenty to take a good hot shower) and a quarter for each additional 2 minutes. There are two private shower rooms with toilets and sinks. One is handicap accessible and also a bit larger for families with children. There are two fire pit rings. One near the RVs and one near the tent sites. We made smores one evening at the tent site fire pit and enjoyed the evening. Our son who tent camped in the back of his truck came out for one evening and enjoyed the tent campground which he had all to himself. For internet you are given a wi-fi password and it was plenty to stream our shows and for my husband to make zoom calls for work. Bear in mind we were there when it wasn't very crowded so more popular times could impact this. The sites have full hook ups, 30 and 50 amp, water sewer. Charlie the camp host is just as friendly as other reviews stated he was. He immediately greeted us, informed us of the amenities and gave us access codes for the doors. He also loaned us a drill in a pinch. Charlie is always there to help and answer any questions but he doesn't linger and also respects your desire to have some privacy and enjoy your stay. There is a small grocery store down the road for essentials and a couple of restaurant options in town. Be aware most are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Joe's coffee was yummy and is a short drive away. For daytrips we made Horseshoe trail our favorite hiking spot. It is a mild/medium 3 mile hike through the forest with a beautiful trail that runs parallel to a glacier fed river. Hikers and other dog owners were very respectful and we never encountered an unleashed dog. If you want to drive an extra 45 minutes it will take you about that long to get up the mountain to Artist Point and the overlooks and beautiful trails that are up there. We started the drive up but it started to rain heavily so we turned back and decided to attempt it on a more beautiful day. The forest service has an informational office not far from the site where you can find all kinds of information on the area. In closing I will say the RV park is just that, an RV park so you won't have picnic tables at each site, or fire pits at each site or beautiful shady treed areas around your RV but if you know what you are heading to you should be pleasantly surprised. The area offers all the beauty we could want and everything is beautifully quiet when it's time to rest. Make sure you also check out Nooksack Falls. First impression was unclear but as soon as we talked to the host we loved it. Charlie was the best host we ever seen. He told us about trails nearby, restaurants and always made sure we have everything we needed. Coin shower. Amazing hikes nearby.

Location location location! If you want a fancy resort, this is not your place. But what it does offer is a top tier camp host, Charles, who busted his tush all day every day to help out campers with everything from local restaurants to places to enjoy the beautiful environment around the campground. Our site was spacious and level. Water had good pressure and good taste. The bathrooms were very clean, EVERY day. The laundry was always clean, prices were very reasonable and all the machines worked! Yes there are full time residents, all of whom were friendly and kind. Snooty visitors can just drive on by. The proximity to the national Forest and national park gave us much more time for hiking with less driving. We were there for 7 nights and only scratched the surface of the possible places to hike within a 20 minute drive. Burn ban prevented any firepit time. The atmosphere in the camp spoke of a nice community of people who look out for each other. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to enjoy what the area has to offer.

In contrary to the few reviews here we pulled up to a horrid place where RV and campers go to die! The spaces are small, weeds growing everywhere if the get water, man high overgrown RV, see pictures.

Our expectations where not very high, but this environment made us feel unsafe and we left withing 5 minutes of hooking up. I believe the 3rd new owner in a short time wants to make something out of it, but they 1st need to get rid of permanent rifraf campers. The pictures attached are NOT blown of of properotto

The area has great potential, being at the base of Mt Baker, which is absolutely stunning with great hiking trails! Just to bad any decent facility is a minimum of 2 hrs drive away!

We had an absolutely magical stay at Mount Baker RV Park! It truly exceeded our expectations — more like a boutique resort than your typical campground. The bathrooms were immaculate and felt like something out of a luxury hotel. We also loved the communal fire pit, where we shared stories with fellow travelers under the stars.

The entire park was peaceful, private, and exceptionally clean, making it a perfect retreat for our family. There were plenty of EV charging options, which made our trip so much more convenient. The location is unbeatable — nestled among beautiful trails and nature paths, and we were even lucky enough to catch part of the Ski to Sea cycling event passing by!

We’ll absolutely be back. Can’t recommend this hidden gem enough!
