I have been camping every year since 1991 at the Kachess campground. My children and I have very much enjoyed our experience there over the years. I was happy when the forest service took over the park again, although Thousand Trails did a great job managing it from a campers perspective. The staff in the past two years has been very friendly and professional. Your employee Pete was amazing two seasons ago. We look forward to camping there again this summer.

It's a no frill camp ground. No showers or anything most people want but we'r like that back woods experience. Im 62 & my parents took us camping there. Note I take my kids & grandkids.. is our favorite place to camp

A beautiful campground with a private path to the lake. I was the first to wake in the morning and had the lake all to myself with stunning views and quietness! Motors are allowed on this lake, so it gets noisy in the afternoons. Vault toilets were clean. Had a weak
signal on my phone. I would visit again!

Some areas are generator hell! That said, this is a very nice campground. The staff is really nice and the lake is stunning!

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience at the site. Although we wished the lake was a little higher and that the restroom tanks didn't overflow/clog. The other restrooms seemed to be overwhelmed as well as the smell was pretty rank.
I especially enjoyed the morning flyovers by the Navy F/A-18's, always amazed at the power of those Navy aircraft.
We are already discussing our plans for the summer and Lake kachess will definitely be part of it.

Lake is great in the summer. A bit cold, but the beach us perfect.

I stayed at the group campground. It was really private, lots of grounds for tent and parking. Not far from the lake either. My only improvement suggestion is to upgrade the toilet. It will be great if it's water toilet instead of pit.

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
