The site and campground were very clean. The bathrooms on Mineral Loop were flushing toilets, which was a nice surprise. No soap in the bathrooms, but they were always well stocked and clean. Our site was very sunny… a bit too hot for us. But I could see many campsites that were more shaded. If a picture of 109 Mineral Loop could be added, that would be helpful for future campers. The walk to the lake was easy, but the beach was very windy. The current and chill made it a little uncomfortable for swimming and playing in, despite the weather being so nice. Overall we had a nice time, though.

We were glad to see that there was water in the lake, and the weather was just about perfect. The kids had a great time swimming and paddling around the shoreline.

This marked year 5 of camping at Lake Kachess in site 1 and was by far, the BEST year in a LONG time thanks to our amazing camp hosts Christina and Nick. We've been staying in this loop for 8 years but the past 3-4 years things got to a point where we questioned coming back. The bathrooms were disgusting and never taken care of, the day use area turned into a party palace with people moving logs and parking wherever they wanted, including in our sites. People were having fires during burn bans and the entire place just felt grossly abused and there was no one attending to the park. I'm so happy to report this year was a blessing and I pray Christina and Nick (and bagel too!) are back next year. The bathrooms were immaculate and for pit toilets, that's saying something. The park was well maintained, they came by on the first of our 7 days and to check-in and proceeded to keep us updated on the local fire and they really kept everyone in check on busy days so we weren't dealing with random people camping in the day use, or parking all over the road. They were busting their butts and did it all with a smile. They even helped me deflated my tube when we couldn't, I mean above and beyond customer service. It has been so long since anyone came by to even say hi and check in as the host and we LOVED it. They really made a huge difference this year and it will keep us coming back. as long as you don't allow this place to go back to the lawless ways of prior years. This is such a special spot close to Seattle and I'm just glad the park system stepped in to maintain it as such. Respect your neighbors, respect the land and enjoy the blessing this place is. Great campground, spotting cell service, vault toilets with some flushing ones, running faucets scattered around sites, good place to ride bikes around park.

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
