This is a great location not too far from home. The camp hosts were very helpful. Looking forward to going back when the lake is higher.

Check in was awful. Check in time was listed at 2:00. We got there at 1:15. We were told we couldn’t check in until 2:00 and get in line with all the other cars up a narrow gravel road. Most of those people were waiting to get into day use. Pulling our trailer up that road close to all those cars in line was scary. Please put on website no check in before 2:00.

In order to get down to the lake we were walking in mud. Not a place where the dog can swim.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kachess Lake. For paddling, get out on the lake early and you’ll have it mostly to yourself. The winds and the crowds pick up in the afternoon. Highly recommend late night star gazing on the beach. We were there near the peak of the Perseids and the meteors put on a great show.

We enjoy camping here very much. Once in a while the flush toilets and water stop working but, this is usually taken care of within an hour or two.

I love this place. This year our trip was weird-super Smokey, lake super low and the interactions with camp employees were odd.
Normally amazing, love the group site and usually we paddle board and float and just enjoy the water.

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
