What Guests Are Saying
Kachess campground offers a beautiful, scenic environment with spacious and private campsites, making it a popular choice for many visitors. Numerous reviews praise the cleanliness of the campground and the friendliness of the staff, along with access to hiking trails and the lake. However, some concerns were raised about sanitation issues in the vault toilets, low lake water levels, and a lack of enforcement of campfire bans, which detracted from the overall experience for some campers.

Clear markings of site boundaries would be helpful. On our first night out neighbors had several tents in our campsite. Fortunately they left the next day. There was no Camp Host in our Loop to report to, or ask questions. Some people had campfires although there was a Level 2 burn ban and clear signage indicating that NO fires were allowed.

From the worker at the front gate, I believe Greata, to the host we saw each day, it was great. The lavs were clean, the roads were kept, the public areas felt safe, and all in all the campground felt safe. I wish I brought goggles since the lake was so clear, the bottom was so visible. The stars at night were amazing, milky way was out. Sad part, but understandable, we missed the crackle of the morning fire. It is our second year and plans for more are being set up now. Thanks for the get away.

We love Lake Kachess and have been holding our annual week long family camping trip there for years.
It's close to Seattle so if you need to run home for anything it's no problem.
Great place to camp.

The scenery was great and the site was well maintained. Great reception arriving at the park. It felt like you had your own private beach right next to the campsite. Highly recommended.

Beautiful campground. Easy access to the lake. A great spot to watch planes (Boeing Growlers) from (Mineral Loop) or at the lake. Staff was great. Bathrooms are clean but there aren’t very many of them for being such a huge campground. Definitely recommend.

We like the lake and surrounding woods. Would like to see some sites with power. Would be happy to pay an additional fee for the utility.
