We enjoyed our stay at the lake even though the water level was very low for this time of year.

Had a great experience with the wife and dogs. Weather was good for most of the time and got some great hikes in.
Have never seen the lake this low, especially in May, so if boating is in the plan this may not be the year for Kachess!

This was our first time camping. Rated five stars as it exceeded our expectations. Well maintained location. Fire pits were upgrades from the simple ones in the image on Recreation.gov. Camp host was friendly. Toilets were flush instead of vault which was a nice surprise.

Site 92 was awesome, spaced well from all neighbors, you have good privacy. This was also near some trails. The “mineral creek” loop has flushing toilets. Note that many of the other toilets on the map at Kachess are just pit toilets, so this loop in particular is one of the better ones if you prefer bathrooms over outhouses.

We went early thinking we could use the day use area while our site was ready, but found out we had to pay for the day use even though we had already paid for the camp site.

Our campsite was nice and backed up to the lake. There was plenty of room for multiple tents if you walked slightly down a hill behind the site...I'm not sure if it was intended for a tent but it looked like others had done so in the past. The bathroom situation however was not good. When we first arrived there was no toilet paper and no soap. A couple hours later the toilet paper had been replenished but still no soap. It was only slightly better than a vault toilet.
