Had an excellent campsite right on the beach area, and the lake was beautiful.
Only giving 4/5 stars as some extremely inconsiderate people came into the community picnic area late at night, setup flood lights on the beach and proceeded to fire off pistol rounds and set off peoples car alarms from roughly 11pm-2am. I doubt that is a regular thing, and I don't blame the camp hosts for not wanting to confront a bunch of armed drunks in the middle of the night. However, potentially something to watch out for if you are near the community picnic area.

We stayed in Box Canyon camp site for three nights. Our site is next to the host site. They have a generator , won't turn it off until 10pm. Every night we had to wait for the generator off and then went to sleep. Also the restroom is really FLOODED! No one cleans it ! The lake is beautiful and easy to get on the water.

Hosts Ronnie and Donna were very welcoming when we arrived. The camp area was clean and the other campers were respectful of the noise after 10pm. We were sorry that there was a burn ban going on, but everyone was respectful of that as well.
Had a great time, will be coming back next summer.

The park was fairly dirty and there were not enough available bathrooms. The lake was beautiful, other than the trash there too.

The best views I have seen in my life..the lake si mountains are like from the paradise.I recommend to take with you more stuff for entertainment like small boats,boards..

The lake and area are beautiful. A great place for kayaking. The campsite was tiny. Our 26 ft trailer and truck barely fit. The picnic table was falling apart and one of the benches was broken and wobbled anytime you sat on it. The site itself was nice and shady and private, unlike the majority of the sites in this loop. There are bigger single sites, but not really in the Mineral Creek loop. This loop really is more geared toward tent campers. Overall we had a great time, just a few minor issues. If we go back, we would definitely pick a different loop to fit our trailer better.

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
