The campsites are all pretty large. They’re not too close to each other. The lake is clear and a little chilly but warm enough to swim in for a bit. The bathrooms are flush toilets. Potable water. Beautiful!

The proximity to the Seattle area means this campsite is super popular. This means it attracts all sorts of people, like those whose dogs poop in the road and don't clean it up, or those who decide their marshmallow fire is more important than the Stage 2 fire ban, or those who shoot their guns in a packed campground for funsies. If your trip is of the "avoid society" mood, this isn't the campground for you. If your trip is of the "weekend vacation" vibe, this is up your alley. Very family friendly.
I found cell coverage went out the further north in the campground I got. The bathrooms have actual toilets and sinks which I found surprising, but no soap. The Little Kachess Trail #1312 was a supremely cool trail and much more difficult than I was expecting. I enjoyed it a lot.

Beautiful campgroud, friendly staff, but unfortunately we wont be back. There are too many rocks and bollards making it nearly impossible to park your RV and no room for tow vehicle. Staff had to cut down tree so we could get out of the spot as there was not enough clearance to make to turn(swing).

Extremely noisy campsite neighbors!!!! Between the loud, screaming children at night, the loud music after 10pm, and the loud generator early in the morning, it was not pleasant!

Our campsite was relatively private, which was a huge plus for our trip. The lake is wonderful. We don't have a boat, so I would recommend a paddleboard or kayak to have a nice float on the water (it was pretty chilly.)

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
