We stayed in Box Canyon and there were new Camp Host. They were absolutely amazing!!! Toilets / restrooms were the cleanest ever. We absolutely LOVE Lake Kachess!!!

We had a wonderful weekend at Lake Kachess. The lake was beautiful and the campsites were well maintained. It was a bit crowded near us so we moved our tent further into the forest which really gave us a wilderness-like feel. The staff were so sweet and helpful. Could not recommend more!

The camp hosts were great & the entire campgrounds are very clean, bathrooms included. Lake is beautiful & perfect place to come with families.

We stayed at 171, Box Canyon and were mostly pleased with the location. We were close to the bathroom (no showers but there were two toilets and a mirror that were kept clean). We shared a water spigot with our neighbor, which was great for washing dishes and sandy feet. The campground caretaker was close by, a plus in case anything came up, but they had their generator on from 6-9pm each night, which put a damper on the great outdoors experience. Our neighbor across the road never appeared so we had direct access to the beach during our entire visit. The weather was perfect and lake was great for a couple of beginner paddleboarders. If you reserve far enough in advance I recommend reserving a campsite directly on the lake for private beach access. We lucked out being able to have our coffee by the lake each morning.

Do not camp in spot #59,, it is next to the camp host who runs her generator for very long periods. Quite annoying. She also backed out her golf cart in the mornings very early and we woke each morning to BEEP BEEP BEEP!! (Maybe she could think ahead as a courtesy and back her cart in at night.)
Campground is beautiful. We loved the beach and lake.

Kachess is a wonderful park. We were in the Gale Creek loop and were close to the lake- we say the Perseids. It was quiet, and beautiful surroundings, as well as a friendly and welcoming camp host. . I'd definitely come again

We had reserved the 1st night after being told the other consecutive nights were first come only. The camp hosts Jim and Carol then told us this website opened up reservations for the next 2 nights. They told us to move so we did, then they told us we couldn't have 1 camper and 1 trailer in the space. So, we picked up and moved a 3rd time. Terrible experience!

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
