What Guests Are Saying

Kachess campground offers a beautiful, scenic environment with spacious and private campsites, making it a popular choice for many visitors. Numerous reviews praise the cleanliness of the campground and the friendliness of the staff, along with access to hiking trails and the lake. However, some concerns were raised about sanitation issues in the vault toilets, low lake water levels, and a lack of enforcement of campfire bans, which detracted from the overall experience for some campers.

We loved this campground. Very nice, clean, spacious campsites, quiet. The only drawback is how low the lake has been. Hopefully it will go back up.

This campground has always been one of our favorite places to camp each year. The campground is a typical car camping campground so I would give it 3 stars. The lake, however, was the big draw for us as it was warm enough to swim in, in the mountains, and on the hot side of the mountains. In other words perfect for families to have a great sunny, warm lake day. This year the experience has completely changed. This is mainly due to the fact that they are now draining the lake in the summer for neighboring areas. The water level was 80 feet lower than normal so the beach is not even close to the water anymore. The exposed bottom of the lake was extremely muddy and not pleasant to cross over to get to the water. Unfortunately, we will probably not return to this campground. What used to be one of our favorites is not nice anymore due to the lake or lack of lake as I should say.

Our family had a great time on an over night trip to this campground. The campground is well maintained and has flush toilets which was very nice for our kids. The camp sight was flat and had several options for our tent. There were also very few insects, not a single bite on anyone. The lake leaves a bit to be desired in august because it is at a very low level and the banks are all muddy.

The water level at the lake is exceptionally low when we camped there. It is mother nature.

I stayed at the group campground. It was really private, lots of grounds for tent and parking. Not far from the lake either. My only improvement suggestion is to upgrade the toilet. It will be great if it's water toilet instead of pit.

A beautiful campground with a private path to the lake. I was the first to wake in the morning and had the lake all to myself with stunning views and quietness! Motors are allowed on this lake, so it gets noisy in the afternoons. Vault toilets were clean. Had a weak
signal on my phone. I would visit again!

Some areas are generator hell! That said, this is a very nice campground. The staff is really nice and the lake is stunning!
