Very pleasant stay; beautiful surroundings

Only campground my family and I will camp, clean and staff are always helpful.

We like the lake and surrounding woods. Would like to see some sites with power. Would be happy to pay an additional fee for the utility.

We had nine sites reserved for a family reunion. The lake was full and beautiful. Our campsites in Mineral Creek were hot and dry, but pretty private and we did have a flush toilet. (Though the faucet in the women's bathroom was loose). Mosquitoes were present but not burdensome. My only complaint is the lack of signage and contradictory rules. We found out after arriving and paying for some day-use cars that our campsite fee paid for 2 cars in each site. Also we were told by a camp host that the parking by the boat launch was reserved for day-users but there is no signage to indicate that. Luckily no one made us actually move our cars. The camp hosts were super nice, and did a great job keeping the bathrooms clean. Also a word to the wise--we were unable to cancel our reservations on a couple of sites after arriving. That capability was also lacking on the website the day before we left. If you need to make changes, take care of the well ahead of time.

Wonderful sites, spacious private, great access to water. A perfect place for my family gather. Lots of mosquitoes though! ;) cant be helped.

Camp hosts were very professional and friendly, camp sites were clean and nice. Will defiantly return to this campground.

Well maintained camp sites and quiet setting, but it was super buggy and we had a visit from a hungry bear. Remember to take your trash to the dumpster, even if it’s inside your car.

Camp host was very helpful and checked on us often. Went with very small children and has a blast.

The group campsite is supposed to hold a large group of people and vehicles, but the campground management assigned one of their workers to camp in the site. They took one of the better RV sites. There also was no dumpster available at the site as there had been in past years.

Lake Kachess is beautiful and the campgrounds are well kept. It is popular and reservations are often gone early in the season, i.e. as soon as the reservation schedule is available. The first-come, first-serve sites are good sites if you can get them (we did). The bathrooms, whether flush or pit toilets, are kept clean, well-stocked and actually don't smell! The lake was great for swimming and paddle boarding with several pocket beaches along the shore for groups to hang out all day. Mosquitoes are bad this year, probably because of the unusual heat. Sunscreen and bug repellent are essential! We found the "smoke sticks" to be most effective at the campsite; we spent most of the day at the lake shore where it was cooler and had very few bugs.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. The reason for only 4 stars is because we visited the website the morning of our arrival. It said campfires were allowed. They weren't. We brought a propane fireplace just in case, but didn't use it because of the mosquitoes! The website should have been updated. I don't understand why campfires are not allowed in national forest campgrounds, but allowed in the national park.
