Kachess

First, I'd like to say that we love Kachess. Come her a couple times a year. This was my first unpleasant experience.
This Trip was a little different. We cut our trip a day short due to the smoke. I wonder if they should have cancelled and refunded all campers prior. We had campsites 130 and 131. They were totally exposed, no trees...that was a bummer b/c we brought hammocks. The smell from the bathroom wafted over often and was pretty unpleasant. The water level feels like it gets worse every year.

I will be back and know we'll have a great time. Just this experience wasn't all that great.

Just was unlucky and camped by some people who were obnoxiously loud until 3am and plenty of people who walked right through my campsite multiple times and were all within 6 ft of me with no masks.

We loved our stay at Kachess Lake campground, Box Canyon 141. Vault bathrooms and water source close enough to this campsite. Site was clean and spacious, a 5 min walk to the water (which is very cold, but my dog loved it). Box Canyon is the furthest campsite from the actual beach area. Managers on site are conscientious, bathroom well stocked, they are always available (riding around on golf carts).
My favorite experience was kayaking, the water is clear, we saw a lot of fish in the water. We saw one boat...but this isn't the place to go boating, due to the tree stumps and sandbars, unless you know the lake well.
We would come back here.

Great campground!

Loved our stay! Fantastic weather, site, and lake. Rangers were super helpful!

This was a very vibrant campground. Loved the day use areas and large single sites. We'll be camping here again. T-mobile had good texting coverage most of the time.

It’s was a very good camp ground. The only downside was not being able to have a campfire due to the burn ban.
Next time I will make sure there is no ban before I make reservations.

We got off to a rough start. We arrived and the previous group was still set up in our spot. There was some kind of miscommunication, someone thought our reservation was cancelled, but it wasn't. The front gate had our reservation so not sure where the mix up came from. Big kudo's to Harry for being patient with us and helping us search for another spot to temporarily stay in until the next morning. We were pretty disappointed that this was how our trip started and it was a but inconvenient to have to move everything the next day, but he was very kind about it all and refunded our first night, which was appreciated! As someone who works in customer service I get wanting to make every customer happy, and while we weren't the happiest campers to begin with he made sure to check back in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we were having a good time. His good service definitely saved the day and a customer.

Perfect camp for families- spread enough so it doesn't feel crowded, kids may bike around, the lake is cold but beautiful. We come back a few times every summer.

Overall good experience but campsite needs to be separated from the RV area!
