Campsite was great. We weee able to walk back and forth between ours and the family. Kids loved playing in the lake. Pretty cool to see the fire helicopters getting water.
Sad to see some people using propane fire places.

We had a pleasant camping experience at Kachess, most of the amenities are as noted in the description. Campsites are large for tents, lake is beautiful. Hosts are welcoming. I agree with some other folks that not all campsites have full privacy around.

Beautiful campsite, but the restrooms need serious attention

We really enjoyed the campsite itself—the grounds are beautiful, spacious, and offer a great setting for outdoor relaxation. The location and overall atmosphere were wonderful.
However, the toilet facilities were a major drawback. They were poorly maintained, definitely in need of an upgrade or more frequent servicing. If management addresses the restroom situation, this would easily be a top-tier campground.

We booked a one-night reservation not expecting much, but Nick, the camp host went above and beyond to help us secure an incredible site for the following two nights instead. He found us a spot with room for both of our families, private walkway access to the lake, a water spigot right by our site, and bathrooms close by, it honestly couldn't have been more perfect.

What stood out most was Nick's genuine care, paired with a great sense of humor. He was so easy to talk to and made every interaction fun, not just efficient. It's clear he takes real pride in making sure guests have a great experience, and he made us feel like more than just another reservation.

This trip came at a time when we really needed a break, and Nick's help made that possible. We're so grateful for his hospitality and would recommend this campground to anyone, ask for Nick if you get the chance!

Our camp host, Michelle Barringer was wonderful. She was helpful, went out of her way to make our experience easy and fun. She kept the toilets clean and did everything in her control to solve any problems.

Great campground, spotting cell service, vault toilets with some flushing ones, running faucets scattered around sites, good place to ride bikes around park.

This marked year 5 of camping at Lake Kachess in site 1 and was by far, the BEST year in a LONG time thanks to our amazing camp hosts Christina and Nick. We've been staying in this loop for 8 years but the past 3-4 years things got to a point where we questioned coming back. The bathrooms were disgusting and never taken care of, the day use area turned into a party palace with people moving logs and parking wherever they wanted, including in our sites. People were having fires during burn bans and the entire place just felt grossly abused and there was no one attending to the park. I'm so happy to report this year was a blessing and I pray Christina and Nick (and bagel too!) are back next year. The bathrooms were immaculate and for pit toilets, that's saying something. The park was well maintained, they came by on the first of our 7 days and to check-in and proceeded to keep us updated on the local fire and they really kept everyone in check on busy days so we weren't dealing with random people camping in the day use, or parking all over the road. They were busting their butts and did it all with a smile. They even helped me deflated my tube when we couldn't, I mean above and beyond customer service. It has been so long since anyone came by to even say hi and check in as the host and we LOVED it. They really made a huge difference this year and it will keep us coming back. as long as you don't allow this place to go back to the lawless ways of prior years. This is such a special spot close to Seattle and I'm just glad the park system stepped in to maintain it as such. Respect your neighbors, respect the land and enjoy the blessing this place is. Thanks Christina, Nick and Bagel!
