Campground lovely clean bathrooms. Lake was beautiful
Campsites ok we had Three one dbl two single. One Single was should not have been open no level area a lot of debris from sluffing from hill behind. 4 sites around us who were all together were very loud during and after quiet hours. Host did come by after we complained but they do not enforce noice otherwise. We were all adults at our campsites, but this would not be a family friendly situation. Much profanity from these loud sites.

Loved this campground. Peaceful, private, and easily accessible. Once your body acclimates, the lake water is marvelous.
PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE SQUIRRELS! They will jump out in front of cars but obey the speed limit and keep an eye for the little critters on the side of the road. Also, I saw a weasel! It was so cool. Also, deer roam around the campground. Be kind to wildlife.

We camped Sunday to Friday and LOVED it. Friendly staff, clean and quiet campground and the lake was lovely. We camped here as a base for all the lovely day hikes in the area. Plus, lots of berries in early July!

You can’t beat the location next to beautiful Lake Kachees! Campsites are partly shaded with sufficient privacy. Pleasant beach is accessible for swimmers, paddle boarders and kayakers. We saw many people setting up chairs along the shore each day. Although the lake is open to motorboats, it was pretty quiet with very few noisy boats. The pit toilets were clean. Water faucets and large dumpsters were convenient. The night sky had thousands of amazing stars. Camp hosts were very pleasant as they circulated the loops, and they effectively shut down the loud amplified music at one campsite. Unfortunately at around midnight our second night, a fight broke out and it was very loud. Because the fight seemed to be among women, there was no violence, but the mayhem made me wonder if I would need to call 911. Fortunately, the drama died down after an hour or so. But I have to say that I appreciated the fact that we had some cell phone service with T-Mobile. It’s nice to know that we can call for help if needed.

Great site! Lots of space for a large group. The bathroom is a short walk. The only negative is there isn’t as much shade as other nearby sites,, the Dutch oven located on site is missing it’s chimney and the closest water spicket is located inside of the camp directly across the street so we walked down the road to the next spicket which was near the street, not in the middle of another site.

We had an incredible time! It was a beautiful place to be for the 4th of July! Box Canyon was an incredible loop with nice neighbors and peaceful atmosphere.

This place has changed. It's overrun with huge families with zero respect for anyone around them. The hosts are not empowered to assist in these situations. Quiet hours are not respected, beach access is limited, and music is blaring 24/7. No staff will intervene. We will not be back.

Beautiful campground, with easy access to the lake. Very few bugs when we went. Only note might be the limited # and availability of restrooms.

From Seattle, travel east on I-90 approximately 62 miles, or from Cle Elum travel west on I-90 approximately 20 miles. Take exit 62 and follow Kachess Lake Road for 5.5 miles to the campground, which is on the right.
Kachess is accessible via I-90, which is approximately 14 miles to the north, providing access to major cities and routes in the region.

General
- Water levels in Kachess Lake and Little Kachess Lake vary during the summer
- First-come, first-served sites may be available
- Off-road vehicle use is not permitted in the campground
- Reserved campsites will be held until check-out time (noon) on the day following your scheduled arrival.
- The campground may be full and no accommodations may be available after a no show is processed.
- Citations may be issued for exceeding Max Occupancy and campsite footprint
- Pets must be leashed in the campground at all times
- Firewood is available to purchase at the campground for $10.00/bundle.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
