About Spring Canyon

Spring Canyon Campground, on the shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, is perfect for those who enjoy being on the water. The 130-mile long lake is a feature of the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. The lake is named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt and is a part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, managed by the National Park Service. Campers have the convenience of a day-use swimming area and plenty of space to sit back and soak up the summer sun and cooler days of spring and fall.

Spring Canyon Campground offers large lots and stunning views, with proximity to the beach and a lovely hiking trail. The park is well-maintained, featuring clean facilities and friendly staff, making it ideal for family gatherings and outdoor activities. However, some campers noted the closeness of sites, lack of shade, and noise from generators and nearby campers as downsides.

Beautiful campground and stunning views. Only concerns are how difficult it is to assess each site online, and how un-level every site is for the RV and camp chairs (and tent).

Bathroom was clean and inviting - much appreciated!

This is a very nice campground with nice grassy areas and clean restroom facilities.

One caution, many of the sites have roofs. I don’t realize that the one I reserved had wouldn’t allow me to put up my pop top. I was able to change to a different spot, but had to pay a $19 change fee.

Nice campsites, close to Grand Coulee dam where we enjoyed the visitor center Saturday afternoon and laser show Saturday night. On Sunday we went on the dam tour in the morning, spent time at Roosevelt Lake in the afternoon, and had dinner at the Mexican restaurant in Grand Coulee City (the food was good). Not many trees at the campground (so not a lot of shade) so I would not recommend camping there in the middle of summer, but for us it was perfect for Labor Day.

Love Spring Canyon and Lake Roosevelt. Been going there for over 30 years. The only thing that could make it better is showers.

Beautiful and peaceful campsite in the off season. We needed a place to stay overnight and appreciated the views from site 51 and the clean bathrooms. Enjoyed visiting the Grand Coulee Dam the next day.
