About Spring Canyon

Spring Canyon Campground, on the shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, is perfect for those who enjoy being on the water. The 130-mile long lake is a feature of the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. The lake is named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt and is a part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, managed by the National Park Service. Campers have the convenience of a day-use swimming area and plenty of space to sit back and soak up the summer sun and cooler days of spring and fall.

What Guests Are Saying

Spring Canyon Campground offers large lots and stunning views, with proximity to the beach and a lovely hiking trail. The park is well-maintained, featuring clean facilities and friendly staff, making it ideal for family gatherings and outdoor activities. However, some campers noted the closeness of sites, lack of shade, and noise from generators and nearby campers as downsides.

Clean facilities. Lots of snakes but they didn’t bother our camp.

We have been going to this area for many years and in the last 3 years the goathead sticker issue is an on going problem. It would be nice if they would address this issue. If you have children or pets it can become painful and they are tracked into trailer and tents.

I enjoy this campground very much but I have one issue I would like to see addressed. The last two years when I’m there people with motor homes and trailers camp in the day use area for several days at a time, and pay nothing. They take up half the parking lot and park workers don’t seem to care. I would like to see a sign put up stating no overnight camping and make sure it’s a language other than English like Russian. I pay for my sites every year it would be nice if others did also. Thanks

Beautiful stay! Cozy rustic campground offering fantastic views. Limited services but we appreciated the washrooms, Pump out station and available water. If you want absolute privacy, this is not for you, but as this was our third stay, we love it! Great restaurant nearby (La Presa).

The park was well maintained with ample room on our site for a 27ft motorhome and towed vehicle. It was quiet while we were there in early May of course but none the less we would come back.

The spot we stayed at was tight took a few tries to squeeze in. But the grounds were kept nice, the bathrooms were clean and stocked, the walk to the beach was great.
