East Sullivan is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, appreciated for its clean facilities and helpful camp hosts. Many campers enjoy the spacious sites, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere, with activities like hiking and swimming nearby. However, some reviews noted issues with the cleanliness of the outhouses and the need for road maintenance, which affected the overall experience.

The campsites were large and the campground was clean. A great place to stay!

Quiet & clean campground with a short walk to the lake. There are enough vegetation and spacing between campsites to make the overall experience enjoyable. The main road isn't too busy and a short distance away so there's no sound of traffic. The easy access to the lake both by foot and by car is very convenient. Overflow parking is provided before the main entrance to the campsites. We went in May and the weather was absolutely phenomenal - even on a windy day, paddle boarding was still very accessible. Restrooms were kept clean and there are plentiful. The campground host is easily to be found, and their firewood supply comes in handy for last minute replenishment.

East Sullivan is a great campground with good separation of campsites. However, since last year they replaced the failing post and beam vehicle barriers with huge rocks that really restrict some of the previous parking spaces at most of the campsites. Our group thought they did a terrible job in the placement and size.

I took my third grade class to Sullivan Lake for our first overnight camping experience and the group site was perfect for this -- good spots for tents, ample bear boxes, picnic tables and fire circle in the sun as well as picnic tables and fire circle in the shade, two vault toilets. Because the group site is set away from the rest of the campsites, the kids had a clearly defined space to play within and other than a little early-morning noise from the boat launch, we felt like we were the only ones there! We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back! The only thing to note -- we were the first to use the site this season and the water from the spigot (which probably hadn't been turned on in months) didn't taste drinkable. It may improve as people use it, but we were glad we had brought our own drinking water.

We were the only ones in the campground for the first two of our three nights. The quiet of the campground invited deer, chipmunks and birds. The lake was beautiful and smooth.
I hiked nearby Redbluff trail.
Unfortunately I misplaced my Apple Watch somewhere at the campsite # 17.

Clean site, close to a trailhead we wanted to hike, but the entire area was overcrowded. The camp host was nice and helpful. Enjoyed fun at the lake.
