Site 5 is beautiful. The host was more than helpful. I hope Christian comes back next year.

Christian, the site manager, is an awesome guy and went above and beyond to help us when we locked our keys in the car! Exactly who you want to have as your campsite manager. Great campsite, lots of privacy at each lot, and nice proximity to the American River. Beautiful spot!

We had a wonderful experience. The campground host was very friendly and accommodating, the vault toilets were surprisingly clean and odor free, and the campground was absolutely beautiful. The river nearby is a wonderful place to sit, talk, and skip stones across and the trails are a nice place to take a walk. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend others come to enjoy the trails, the river, and the campground itself.

Nice small and quiet campsite alongside the river with large trees. Close to Mt Rainier National Park without the crowds. We enjoyed our stay here and time in the park. Would definitely stay again.

This was an incredible location. Camping so close to the river and with lots of space to feel like we had our own little area of privacy was really great, and more than we were expecting.

Giving an excellent review thanks to the very helpful and informative camp host who was there this year. I think is name is Christian. He kept the bathrooms cleaned and stocked and checked in with us to make sure we knew he was available if we needed anything without being intrusive. Hells Crossing is one of the nicest campgrounds in the area and his presence made staying there a treat.

We camped during the week and had the campground to ourselves, I am into photographing wildflowers and this area had many from Tiger Lilies to 3 kinds of Monkey flowers. Will definitely come back to this very nice campground. Very clean and non-smelly restrooms and no bug problems the week before the 4th.

We had site 5. The reservation card was not updated such that we had to wait for a group to vacate who'd thought the site was open so they set up their gear. Also, it's normally a loop for those sites but blowdown had not been cleared making it a slight challenge to get our vehicle (a van) in to site 5 .

The camp sites were very nice, and the vault toilet was kept quite clean. Plus the host was very kind and considerate.
