What Guests Are Saying

The Indian Flat Group Site offers beautiful campsites by the river, with ample space for camping and hammocking, making it ideal for large groups. However, some concerns were raised about rusty water from the pump, unclean restrooms, and a significant presence of bees and hornets. Despite these issues, visitors appreciated the site's features and noted they would return in the future.

There is a water pump, but I wouldn't recommend using it, comes out really rusty. Restrooms had not been cleaned and we saw no rangers in the 8 days we were there.

Beautiful campsites right by the river. Has a few out houses and plenty of spaces to camp or set up a hammock. It is gated although there is a road that leads to private cabins so still somewhat accessible to others. Had some satellite service at times with T-Mobile. Would camp here again.

We were there in early September. I’m not sure if it’s a seasonal (or a September) issue or not, but there were a lot of bees. There was also several ground hornet nests in some of the fallen timber laying around the campground. 2 of our group members were attacked and had to run and jump in the water to escape the attack. They had to remain in the water for quite a while to get rid of the hornets. Luckily there were no bee allergies and we had a nurse on hand with Benadryl and cold compresses to help. The camp was great for a large group. It was hot so the little waist deep swimming hole was a big hit for cooling down. Please address the bee issue here, or at least the ground hornet nests. Thank you.

Someone tossed corn cobbs over the bank and we had a swarm of mice and a couple rats. Not the best toilets but are clean. I put a red ribbon on the well pump so you can find it. The site is large enough so everyone can have privacy or togetherness. Hard to reserve, lots of fly's and hornets but hey its camping without cell service.
