Very small among the pines and walking distance to the river. Quiet and serene. Be prepared if you have a motorhome. Camp 15 was perfect for mine, but maybe just a couple more for this size motorhome. Only water to fill jugs not motor homes and there is no dumping station.

This is a really great place to camp near the charming town of Newport, WA. The sites are big and generally shaded by trees. The only drawback is that you can hear road noise at night, but that is a trade-off of being close to town. The nature trail is great, and the river is a short walk from the campsites to enjoy. We took a wonderful day hike up at Bead Lake which I would highly recommend. The camp manager was super friendly. Overall, we had a great stay.

Smaller sites for large RVs but very nice, clean, well spaced between each other. Host was great, friendly. No complaints.

Would have been a very enjoyable experience except the camp host did not enforce quiet hours. Campground was very loud, with yelling, drunk laughter, kids screaming, loud music, until 1:00-2:00 am each night

From downtown Newport, travel east on U.S. Highway 2 for 0.75 miles. Immediately
after crossing the Pend Oreille River bridge, turn left on LeClerc Road and travel 2 miles north to the campground.
Pioneer Park is accessible via U.S. Highway 2, which is located approximately 0.75 miles from downtown Newport. LeClerc Road provides direct access to the campground from U.S. Highway 2.

General
- Bears and cougars frequent the area; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from the area after eating
- Entrance gates are locked from to .
- No off-road vehicles allowed
- Reservations will be held until check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. If the site has not been occupied at any time during this period, the reservation will be null and void and the site will be given to first-come first-served campers. The reservation will be a no show and no refund will be given.
