What Guests Are Saying

Pioneer Park is a clean, quiet, and family-friendly campground with spacious, well-maintained sites and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful natural setting and the close proximity to the river, making it a great spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. While some noted minor inconveniences such as lack of potable water and yellow jackets, these did not significantly detract from their overall positive experiences.

Absolutely the best camp host we have ever had. She was there last year, and really works to keep the campground in top notch shape..

This is a nice place. Quiet and good for a spring camping trip. A couple days maybe. I say spring because the swimming is not the best. Others are better when it’s hot. No beach really just rocks on the side of the river. There is a boat launch though and we kayaked. Vault roilets were kept really clean and the host was really nice and a joy to work with. The campsites are all different and really secluded from each other for the most part. Gorgeous forest. Nice little educational hiking trail my kid likes. Conveniently Close to town and Newport and priest river are fun towns. I made a turtle friend.

We were traveling in a small RV, and are very new to RVing. After staying in RV parks that were no more than a parking lot with hook ups, Pioneer was a welcomed change. We enjoyed being surrounded with such beauty. We hiked around the park, and hung out at our site. We will stay there again if our travels bring us that way.

Very small among the pines and walking distance to the river. Quiet and serene. Be prepared if you have a motorhome. Camp 15 was perfect for mine, but maybe just a couple more for this size motorhome. Only water to fill jugs not motor homes and there is no dumping station.
