We had a wonderful long weekend at Doe Bay. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in the aptly named Eden Cabin surrounded by the organic garden. A fruit tree was already flowering in late February right outside the kitchen window. The cabin was well equipped with a full kitchen and all the necessary pots, pans, dinnerware, and utensils. Our dog was welcome as well. As the restaurant asked not to bring our friend along we fed ourselves, but it seemed that takeout might also be available. The bed was comfy and we enjoyed the absence of a TV. There is a library on site as well, we were prepared with our own books and games. There is WiFi on site. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. There was alway hot coffee during store hours.
We both enjoyed massages that we booked in advance (highly recommended), and we soaked in the clothing optional hottubs and sweated in the sauna. This is a wonderful place to recharge, we will be back for sure.

It's so beautiful here. The hot tubs and sauna are incredible - with the view, it's a special and unique experience. I visited on a Wednesday in January, booked a yurt with electric and a modest heating unit. I would recommend to bring a power strip if you want to charge your devices as there are only two outlets and they are used by the table lamp and the heater. I really like the windows and door in the yurt. The sky light is really nice, too. I will definitely come back on a weekend to experience the cafe. I love the art and overall vibe of this place; it feels very loved.

Had a beautiful fall weekend retreat at Doe Bay! Stunning location, huge variety of lodging, and friendly staff all around. Loved the hot tubs and sauna, and the communal fire pits and outdoor lounge areas. The cafe offerings were delicious, love that it’s walkable from your lodging. They had a wild mushroom walk while I was there, as well as a small but well stocked store. Can’t wait to visit again in other seasons!

Thank you so much, Doe Bay Resort, for opening your space to us for the last decade. Because of your generosity, our Imagine festival has been able to take root and flourish in this magical place. Every year when we arrive on Orcas Island, it feels as if we’ve stepped onto a new planet—one filled with love, care, kindness, and giving.
What happens here each year is more than just a gathering; it’s a dream come alive. And it all begins with you, the neighbors, and the staff of Doe Bay who so graciously share this land with us. The beauty of the grounds, the peacefulness of the resort, and the spirit of welcome all set the stage for what Imagine is truly about: community, connection, and possibility.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this festival possible.

We've stayed here a handful of times. You can't beat the location for the price, absolutely breath taking!! Right on the water with lots of price points and options. One year we had bad service at the restaurant with our kids, this year the hot tub, which is supposedly family friendly, was set at 104 degrees. 104 degrees is not safe for children. After going back and forth with the manager they set it at 101 at the beginning of our soak but our kids only lasted about 30 minutes. Even the adults couldn't handle how hot it was with no one lasting the full time. 104 is the hottest you can have a hot tub, for a 90 minute soak I would much prefer to be able to sit in it a majority of the time comfortably. It was disappointing that it wasn't safe for kids to sit in, despite being told it was family friendly.
