Pampered Wilderness

I don't like writing a negative review, but unfortunately Pampered Wilderness stole our money. We had a reservation for our anniversary in September 2024, but they called and cancelled at 9 pm the night before, saying the unit we booked wasn't actually available. They offered to let us rebook for the following summer, but refused to refund us even though it was their error.

In the months since, we've reached out repeatedly via email and phone to try to find a solution, and they won't respond.
We're so disappointed and at this point would settle for a rebooking if we needed to, but I have to assume they're struggling if they're not willing to rectify booking issues.

This was an anniversary gift from my partner, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience! The canvas tent keeps it nice and cozy inside, and there's electricity with multiple outlets for your devices. It is even bigger in person, we booked the Rustic tent and it had a king size bed and was extremely spacious. Lots of walking trails and the bathrooms and showers are less than a minute walk. It comes with a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill, campfire area with seating, and picnic table. Dishes, wine glasses, silverware and a few pots and pans are stocked in the kitchen area as well as bath towels. They really thought of everything. You will need to bring or purchase your own fire wood.

My experience here is without words. If you're looking for a beautiful spot with great people around you and the pampered, wilderness is very pampered and upscale camping ground a little on the pricier side. But if you're doing, get a hotel room to go on a vacation about the same price. Lots to do. There's like 9 mi of trails. It's on almost a thousand acres of state parkland you name it? It's there before Labor Day. I don't remember when they open. They have a bar like swimming spots, fishing spots, trails, animals are welcome. Like what isn't there to say about the spot? Highly recommend

Beautiful cottage which barely any bugs got in to, easy communication and check out-in process with hosts, not too many people around, fun trails , and overall great experience. Wish we could have rented bikes though. Would definitely recommend to for couples, family, and friends.

There aren't enough stars to show how much my husband and I LOVED our stay! It had all the peacefulness of car camping without needing to pack extensively. The lake was stunning, the trails were beautiful, the town wasn't far to stock up on supplies. They had everything we needed to BBQ and enjoy the campfire. We did buy fire starter and brought a water filter for the water, but we were set! The bathrooms were regularly camping bathrooms with flush toilets and toiken operated showers. It was a heavenly get a away!
