This is the type of place you hesitate to review because you don’t want the rest of the world to know what a treasure you’ve found.

The employees and volunteers were amazing but the website put our 22’ camper in a tent site with no trees and only a parking lot- NO water- potatable or non-potable.

We were in C13. As a previous camper observed, there’s not much room for a family sized tent, that is, if you want a fairly rootless and level spot. Two brush piles on the edge of the site further degraded the visual experience. This could be improved by moving the brush piles to the other side of a large log. Doing so would not impede on the nearest campsite.
C13 abuts C14 (a much larger site) such that it looks like one big campsite. So the privacy between the two is not as good as other campsites.
The overall campground is quite impressive with the old grown trees. Highly recommend camping here, especially with numerous sites that are spacious with fully shade and large trees.

Great trip overall. Reasons for marking down to 4 stars; the toilets desperately needed to be pumped days prior to when they were (they were almost full to the top when we arrived and weren’t pumped for two additional days) and while the site was usable it would’ve been nice to know prior to showing up that a third of the original site has been washed out and is unusable. Also it didn’t impact our reservation but other sites that were closed due to wash out were moved to random other sites and there would be no way you would’ve known this until you showed up to the campsite.

Rustic. Did not do much beyond sleep there. Lots of shade. Served my purpose for the night.

probably the best campground I've ever been to. not going to say my favorite loop or site because I want it all to myself... but it's hard to go wrong here. what a beautiful place. I love how close the river is to everything

The site was great. We had a spot near the river. It was flat for an RV, very peaceful and beautiful, close to the White River entrance at Mount Rainier NP. It was a pain that there was no water available, but at least the fee was discounted as a result.

Large campground with many sites, narrow driveways. Some sites are huge & private, others tiny & not private - keep that in-mind when booking. Good access to the river & short walk to the Blue Hole.
