Great location and great immediate surroundings. One of the loops, I think the H loop is essentially just a pull out.

All the rant sites seemed large and roomy. Pit toilets were clean. Hosts seemed a bit “over it” being it was the end of summer. Most campers were respectful and followed the quiet hours. Will absolutely came back!

The campsite was close to the river and very beautiful! The pads were level and the campsite was clean. The bathrooms hadn’t been dusted for a while and had lot of spider webs inside of them. And there was no water on site, which we knew going in.

Site is well maintained and clean. We were lucky and got a spot in the D loop, right by the river. Equidistant from both Paradise and Sunrise. The kids said they want to go back for multiple nights!

The campground is beautiful, with sites scattered among towering old growth trees. The campground is old and its roads and driveways are narrow, which is probably why most people there are tent campers. I saw a few small fifth wheels and no motorhomes at all. I was there for three rainy midweek nights the week before Labor Day. It was not crowded at all and it was wonderfully quiet day and night.
La Wis Wis is about ten minutes from Packwood, a half hour from the Tipsoo Lake trailhead for the Naches Loop Trail, and 45 minutes or so to the Visitor Center at Paradise.
I stayed in C16, which was quite small and close to the campground road. I have an REI Basecamp 4 and had trouble fitting it into the tent space allotted (though I did, and I was able to stake out the vestibule as well). There is a dropoff on one side of the tent space. If the campground had been crowded I wouldn't have been happy with the lack of privacy, but as it was I had no near neighbors and it was fine. I could hear trucks on Highway 12 as I was falling asleep, but they were distant and not bothersome.
Outhouses were clean, well stocked, and large. Trash cans are not bear proof but the only wildlife I saw in camp were chipmunks and birds. I locked my food in my car at night.
A ranger drove through on my third night and the camp host came by on my final morning; otherwise I didn't see anyone "official" during my stay. You pass the camp host's site on the way in, however, so I could have gone there had I needed anything.
There is no cell reception at all (Verizon).
I would happily go back to La Wis Wis but probably not to C16. (One good thing about that site, though, is that it's a pull through site; I appreciated that because I'm a lousy backer.) I'm not sure how to determine which sites are larger and more private. I wish that recreation.gov listed the dimensions of the tent areas of each site.

Other than the lack of water, this place is amazing. Even then, the water is no problem if you prepare.
