The camping is great. Hikes out of the area are beautiful and offer opportunities for a full range of walkers and hikers. Always fun is a dip in the hot springs after a long hike.

We didn’t stay long, but were able to back into our spot and connect without any issues. The RV camp is close to the resort which we had booked for the hot springs so that was nice. Just be aware there are no restroom facilities connected with the RV camp

Clean and quiet. There are no accessible bathrooms in the rv court after 10 pm so plan accordingly.

Park was beautiful. Campsites and trails very nice and well maintained. Restrooms could have been a little cleaner. There are no showers. Quiet and peaceful. Everyone was very friendly. We had a great time.

Great campsites. Spent three days here at the RV sites. Would definitely do again.
Items to note for new visitors:
-Campsite is ~20 minutes off of US-101 (Thought we were there after pulled off the main road, but its still a small drive to get to the sites.)
-Bring in all the food and water you will need for your stay. There is no camp store and groceries were ~1hr away.
-No cellular or wifi at the campsites. Not a huge deal for us, but can be an issue for others.
-No showers for campers. This was my mistake for not checking further on. I assumed there would at least be a bath house, but nope. The lodge for the cabins & the pools does have showers, but they are set up more for teh pool. (large open area with no curtains or doors)

Beautiful tree covered campground. The site had a decent amount of space between them so we had privacy between us and our neighbors.
Bathrooms were kept clean and stocked. Camping ground host was friendly. They sell firewood onsite.

My group had a great trip at campsite 66. The campsite was spacious and included a campfire area with an height adjustable grill. The campsite is conveniently located next to the restrooms, while also being quiet and not too close. The restrooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The campsite ground is a bit uneven, and while we were able to fit one large tent, finding a flat spot for more than that might be difficult.

I went to Sol Duc to go camping but as it ended up I needed some rehab for my lower back and shoulder. The hot springs were just what I needed and spent a lot of time in the springs. I think it helped a lot. Enjoyed what little hiking I could do and get in. I ended up in a walk-in campsite which was a little of a burden with my back but it worked out. Nice campground and lots to do if you like hiking.

Staying at the Sol Duc Campground was the perfect way to spend my week on the Olympic Peninsula. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to camp during their time in this area!

Sol Duc is in the northern part of Olympic National Park, 28 miles west of Port Angeles and west of Lake Crescent.
3 1/2 hours from Seattle
5 hours from Portland
3 hours from Victoria, BC
From the east: From Port Angeles, take Hwy. 101 west for 29 miles, then turn left onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 miles to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
From the south: From Forks, take Hwy. 101 north for 28 miles then turn right onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 miles to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
The campground is accessed via State Route 101, which is approximately 20 miles to the south.

Policies & Rules
General
- The Mineral Hot Springs & Pool access will be in sessions:8:00 AM - 9:30 AM10:00 AM - 11:30 AM12:00 PM - 1:30 PM2:00 PM - 3:30 PM4:00 PM - 5:30 PM6:00 PM - 7:30 PM2026 pool access fees are $19 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12 and $15 for seniors over 62 years old per session. Towel rentals are $5. You may bring your own towel. Lockers are available, but locks are not provided. Children under the age of 4 may only access the smallest hot spring pool and the swimming pool.
- Caution: Wildlife including bears and raccoons frequent the area. All food and coolers (regardless of contents) must kept in approved animal proof containers.
- Pets must be kept on a leash up to 6 feet in length at all times. Pets are not allowed on National Park trails at any time.
- No loud music or sound (including generators) between the hours of , and .
- Please verify you know your site prior to arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, speak with the front desk at the resort or the camp host.
- The National Park Service charges entrance fees at the entrance station on Sol Duc Road. Refer to the park Fees and Passes page.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
