This was one of the worst camping experiences.
We rented spot RV11 and the electrical box was messing up.
The campsite map isn’t up so we couldn’t see that the RV area is a whole different court. The court has no bathrooms. So if you’re recreational vehicle doesn’t have a bathroom you have to walk 10 min (which is a long time in an emergency) and use the hot springs bathroom (only open during business hours) or drive to the other campground (we couldn’t walk due to the trails being flooded.
There was an awful smelling hot springs right behind our site.
Posted everywhere are proper food storage reminders from bears and cougars.. but zero safe places to store your food.
I’ve been going to Olympic for many years, never went out of my way to go to sol duc.. and I never will again.
Such a negative experience we have sold all our camping gear and never want to do it again.

Beautiful grounds in the most gorgeous setting. RV park was well maintained, clean and quiet. The hot springs were lovely - 3 different temperature pools and a cold pool. Helpful staff and well worth the visit!

Nice location, provided one is able to travel the 12 miles from the highway to the campsite. Since it is in the rain forest, the campsites are all heavily shaded. At this time of the year, the weather was rainy so you have to be prepared to camp in the rain. Would be even nicer I could imagine for warmer sunny days. The Sol Duc Hot Springs itself (which we did not use) was pretty hectic. The was a longer line inside waiting to use the hot springs, even though there was no one in the actual hot springs. The hot springs location itself does not do any reservations. All reservations have to be done online. So asking if there are any open cabins or rooms is not something that anyone at the hot springs location itself can perform.

Hot Springs are great and relaxing. The weather didn't go with our plan though and it was cold at night even in June, so definitely bring a jacket.

We were in site 29/Loop A (pull through). The site was listed for a 36' trailer with a 58' driveway. What they didn't say was how narrow the roads in the campground were, how close the trees were to the road, as well as your neighbors. The driveway sloped both front and rear making it hard to level. We're a 32' TT pulled with a 22' truck - so we fit, barely. The site was close to the main road heading towards the Hot Springs, so there was noise from it during the daytime. The trees were so thick, we got little sun and very limited Starlink use. It was very pretty and we did enjoy the Sol Duc Falls hike.

Sol Duc is in the northern part of Olympic National Park, 28 miles west of Port Angeles and west of Lake Crescent.

From the east: From Port Angeles, take Hwy. 101 west for 29 miles, then turn left onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 miles to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
From the south: From Forks, take Hwy. 101 north for 28 miles then turn right onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 miles to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
The campground is accessed via State Route 101, which is approximately 20 miles to the south.

Policies & Rules
General
- The Mineral Hot Springs & Pool access will be in sessions:8:00 AM - 9:30 AM10:00 AM - 11:30 AM12:00 PM - 1:30 PM2:00 PM - 3:30 PM4:00 PM - 5:30 PM6:00 PM - 7:30 PM2026 pool access fees are $19 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12 and $15 for seniors over 62 years old per session. Towel rentals are $5. You may bring your own towel. Lockers are available, but locks are not provided. Children under the age of 4 may only access the smallest hot spring pool and the swimming pool.
- Caution: Wildlife including bears and raccoons frequent the area. All food and coolers (regardless of contents) must kept in approved animal proof containers.
- Pets must be kept on a leash up to 6 feet in length at all times. Pets are not allowed on National Park trails at any time.
- No loud music or sound (including generators) between the hours of , and .
- Please verify you know your site prior to arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, speak with the front desk at the resort or the camp host.
- The National Park Service charges entrance fees at the entrance station on Sol Duc Road. Refer to the park Fees and Passes page.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
