Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground

Convenient location, but very minimal privacy. Right next to various campers’ sites.

Great campground! Lots of shade and close to multiple great hikes.

Such a great experience. The campground was perfectly situated to go on lots of trips around the area, and it had everything we needed. Would absolutely recommend! We traveled to the Hoh rainforest, Cape Flattery, Sequim and Port Angeles, and hiked to Sol Duc falls. All were spectacular but Cape Flattery was probably my number one!

There are a few things that happening that greatly diminish our abiltiy to enjoy the hot springs.

1st - The excessive and overly bright LED floodlights surrounding the hot springs make it unbearable for us to use in the evenings. My husband has migraine headaches triggered by lights, and especially LED lights. I asked if they could turn the lights off, since it was barely even dusk and not at all dark, no more dark out than an overcast day, and they said no, they would not turn off the lights.
This really wrecks our ability to enjoy the hot springs. Even with a hat on, the lights are still very damaging to my husband's vision.

2nd - They only make the last session one hour. The staff complains that they work a long shift, and the extra 30 minutes to make the last session a full 90 minutes would really impact their day. This is terrible! Also, which for 20$ already feels like a rip-off compared to the pre covid pricing.

We travel a long way to get there, and we have some health challenges that the hot springs could help with. So, while we drive over 6 hours to get there, and get one chance a year to visit the hot springs for only a few days, and the staff can't put in the effort to make the last session a full 90 minutes and cuts it short to 60 minutes.

3rd - Would it be possible for them to put up some sun umbrellas around the pools? The only time of day it isn't sunny and hot on the pool deck is the very 1st or last session of the day, and we already discussed how the last session is cut short by 30 minutes.
And they don't have one single sun umbrella to provide shade while sitting in the pools. This is outrageous and terrible guest service.
This is the only natural hot springs in the state with camping and bathroom facilities available, it is a shame the property management company can't make it a little more user friendly and enjoyable, since many of the guests are visiting due to serious health concerns and may be in a compromised state of health

Sol duc was close to hikes, had easily accessible bathrooms, and great options to be near the hot springs. The campsite was more expensive than others in Olympic, but was still a great night

Enjoyed the location. The particular campsite I was at was #11. It has a steep loose gravel access that could be very dangerous if wet... also, the sink in the restroom was not accessible - covered up with plastic.

A lovely campground if you are planning to soak in the hot springs or hike/backpack in the seven lakes basin area of the park like we did. Yes, the sites are on the smaller side but I didn’t find them to be cramped. We were able to comfortably fit 2 two person tents while still having room for chairs and a folding table. The bathrooms are well kept, campground has a potable water spigot, and the camp host went above and beyond to make us welcome. They provided fire starter and some complimentary wood for our campfire. The hot springs are a mile or so walk away, though most people drive over.

Beautiful surroundings. Campground staff/hosts super friendly and helpful. Camp sites well maintained. Hot springs a nice relax after a day of hiking. Beware- bring own towel to hot springs … they run out of rental towels! 👍

Very nice campground and facilities in a peaceful setting, A loop is only a 10 min walk to the hot springs. Very nice 14 mi hiking loop from the campground, too. But too many small pieces of trash were left by other campers at my site.
