Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground

Great to soak in the hot springs, watch the salmon jump the falls, and a lot of great hiking trails.

HORRIBLE! I reserved an RV site and the pic made it seem like it was surrounded by trees. When i got there I saw the spots were packed together with literally ZERO separation between sites. Drove up to my slot and the large dog at the site next to me lunged and barked and his leash went right up to the log separating our 2 slots. There was no way this was going to work for me traveling with a cat on her harness and tie out and a small dog scared of larger aggressive dogs! Also, there are ZERO restrooms in this loop. I guess they assume everyone who has an rv has a working toilet, but I have a small convertible camper van and my toilet folds away and is only for emergencies. Why would I drive 4 hrs to be sitting less than 2 feet from strangers? Zero privacy. I wound up having to move to a site without electric hook up and had to move 2 nights in a row b/c there were no spots available for 3 nights, or even 2 nights. I had to leave early anyway b/c my 12 v fridge needs to be plugged in and my powerbank only lasts 1 night before it needs to be plugged in too. I am disabled and the stress of this and having to set up 2x and only get to stay 2 nights instead of 3 was awful.. i was in so much pain from the exxtra work i couldn't even do anything the next day. I called to try to get a partial refund and they only refunded me $22.10. So instead of getting the reservation for half off, as I am entitled to with my disabled access pass, I wound up paying tripple what i should have for a standard, non-electric campsite. Horrible customer service! They need to post accurate photos and give an accurate description of the site so you can make an informed decision. Also, while the 2 loop b spots i wound up being much more private and "naturey", there was no campground host on any of the days, I did nbot see a single ranger or staff person patrolling the entire time I was there and not even an emergency call alarm. Will never stay here again!

Very large spot with extra large tent area downhill from fire pit/table. About a 1 ft drop off from parking spot to campsite so be careful when backing in.
The tent area is right near the path between loop b and loop a so be aware people will be walking close by frequently. We really enjoyed our stay. As of May 18th 2024 Loop A was still no water and portable toilets but Loop B was fully operational.

Overall had a great stay. Possibly the cleanest bathrooms I've seen camping before. Stayed at site 72, a bit close to neighbors but a minute or two walk to bathrooms and water.

Three of us stayed at this campground. We loved how far back the campsite was from the main road, it had great views down the back into the woods near the river. It is a bit far down the road, but this also adds to the camping experience because of the beautiful surroundings and the sound of the river running nearby. We would recommend it.

I hadn't been to Sol Doc in over 50 years. Stayed at the RV Camp sites. Awesome, will be going back

Absolutely beautiful campground! Mossy trees all around, lots of birds and other cute critters. Bathrooms were conveniently placed and clean, campsites were mostly decent sized but they were pretty rocky so padding or an air mattress are pretty essential if you’re in a tent. Pretty closely located to lots of good hiking trails!! And the hot springs were lovely to get in. All in all a wonderful experience.

None of the proper washrooms were functional. All they have was honey buckets and even that is not well maintained. There was no water supply on taps as well. Rest all was as usual okay.

Quite, at quiet time. Easy check in. Easy Set-up. I just wish that I had set it for 2 nights.

Quiet little campground. Not much privacy from the other campers, but we only stayed one night and everybody pretty much stayed inside their RVs because of the rain so that was not an issue. Dont miss the hot pools at the resort just a few yards down the road!
