About Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground

For up to date pool schedule information, please visit our website here. Pool access fees are $19 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12 and $15 for seniors over 62 years old per session. Towel rentals are $5. You may bring your own towel. Lockers are available, but locks are not provided. Located along the Sol Duc River, Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground is on the "edge of the backcountry in the heart of the Olympic National Park" with hot spring pools and access to many hiking trails. In the late 1800s, settlers found the hot springs and called them "Sol Duc" a mispronunciation of the Quileute word for sparkling waters. The first hotel was built at Sol Duc in 1912 but burned down in 1916. The resort was rebuilt on a more modest scale in the 1920s, and completely rebuilt in the 1980s, which reflects how the resort looks today. Recreation.gov offers reservations for 76 of the resort's 82 tent sites and for all 17 of the resort's RV campsites, all nestled under a lush green canopy of old growth forest. Reservations for the remaining 20 tent sites are made directly at the campground as walk in reservations. Advanced reservations are recommended to guarantee a campsite. Multiple hiking trails are accessible directly from the property, with the most popular taking guests to spectacular Sol Duc Falls. Book tent and RV campsites here on Recreation.gov (using the buttons on the right to view sites and availability). Visit the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort website to book reservations for the cabins.

What Guests Are Saying

The Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground offers a beautiful setting with clean and well-maintained facilities, including restrooms and ample hiking opportunities nearby. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and spacious, semi-private campsites surrounded by nature. However, some noted concerns about noise from generators, a lack of amenities in the RV section, and the additional costs for using the hot springs, which could detract from the overall experience.

First time exploring the Olympics, and this side of the park had a lot to offer in terms of longer hikes, and is located near Crescent. I loved how spacious this particular campsite is; it would make a great group site with the ones to either side, as they kind of blend into each other. The bathroom is nearby, and the creek beside us was lovely to hear all day. I would book this site again in the future. Most people near us just slept in their vans/rv, so it felt like we had the site to ourselves.

We booked site A 27 billed as a 35 ft RV site. That is totally wrong!! We have a 32 ft motorhome and the angle of the site made it impossible to back anything into . Getting the host to block traffic so we could go the wrong way around the loop my very talented husband actually crammed us in there, scratching a lot of paint and breaking our side mirror . The site is suitable for a tent or a very small RV pulling in head first.

We enjoyed the hot springs and campground. We were in the group site, which is a way away from the campground, with it's own pit toilet and no running water available. You will need to drive to the campground or resort to fill water containers. Great site though! We highly enjoyed our time and would definitely come back.

I had to cancel my reservation on the day I was due to arrive because of a medical emergency with my travel partner who had been admitted to the hospital in Sedro-Woolley. I could not call the campground directly and calling the folks at recreation.gov would not help me because they said they had no access to the Sol Duc reservation system and that no changes or cancellations could be made on the day the arrival is due. After the 3rd call, I finally got someone to submit a refund request due to medical emergency. I have heard nothing back regarding my refund.

Campsite was very small. Only one tent space. Hot springs experience was amazing. Will definitely go again.

We stayed in what is unaffectionately called the RV court. In truth is a gravel parking lot with grown weeds between you and your picnic table that is behind the site. There is a reason for that since there is barely room for chairs between you and the also unfortunate camper next door. It appears that the resort that manages the rv court does it on a whim or not at all. I obviously would not recommend camping in the rv court, you’re joking right, but try and get in loop A or B.

Beautiful campground. Closeby to Sol Duc Resort where you can find essentials or enjoy a decent meal. Also near the Sol Duc Falls trail, which is also quite incredible.

This campground has no bathrooms, showers, grills, laundry, dump station...it's basically just a parking lot with hook ups.
Very disappointing.
