good spot but no bearbox. it will be useful because a racoon we think stole marchmallow.

Decent hiking and scenery within a walk from the campsite, although the facilities were lacking aside from the pool/ hot springs which was large enough to accomodate the late-afternoon surges and also quite clean. I would visit again, but might suggest swings, horse shoes, corn hole, something more for the kids.

the prices have increased (for what??), the showers and changing rooms were inaccessible for the 2 days i was there, the water was dirtier than usual, waiting in long lines often with only 1 staff person helping too many people. the water bottle filling station had a red light indicating filters needed to be changed, i informed a staff person and the next day it still wasnt changed. not enough lights over the covered walk way by the pools at night. overall, really disappointed with the direction this place is going and will be going less. would love to see aramark go away and have it run by good local people who know how to run a hot spring with soul.

The gravel parking lot that was the rv park was underwhelming and crowded, but more problematic was the lack of bathrooms anywhere closer than a 10 minute walk (either to the resort, which was closed between 9:30pm and 7am) or to the tent campgrounds. Would not recommend for anyone who wants to spend time outside their trailer and doesn't have a toilet in their camper.

We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed Sol Duc Campground. We lucked into a last minute spot that was spacious and clean. The campground is walking distance to the hot springs resort and located in a gorgeous forest. A campsite next to the river is probably ideal (ours wasnt) but we loved it nonetheless.

We had trouble finding the path to the hot springs from camping loop B at first, so walked on the highway. It became more obvious as we got closer though. Very little maps of the area. The map given by the Olympic Park Ranger is of the broader area, and you don’t check in with anyone else again.
Hot Springs were fun & clean! Peaceful night camping! Much less rowdy than a WA StAte campground. Bathroom/water/garbage facilities were above average!

Really enjoyed the hot and cool pools. Nice atmosphere and a pretty setting. And after a few days of backpacking the hot showers were appreciated. Pro tip - go first thing in the morning for fewer crowds and cleanest pools. I had expected them to be limiting crowd size more so was surprised when there were so many people at a late afternoon session. I went again the next morning and it was much more enjoyable. We stayed at the campground it was convenient and facilities were well maintained.

Sol Duc is in the northern part of Olympic National Park, 28 miles west of Port Angeles and west of Lake Crescent.

From the east: From Port Angeles, take Hwy. 101 west for 29 miles, then turn left onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 miles to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
From the south: From Forks, take Hwy. 101 north for 28 miles then turn right onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 miles to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
The campground is accessed via State Route 101, which is approximately 20 miles to the south.

Policies & Rules
General
- The Mineral Hot Springs & Pool access will be in sessions:8:00 AM - 9:30 AM10:00 AM - 11:30 AM12:00 PM - 1:30 PM2:00 PM - 3:30 PM4:00 PM - 5:30 PM6:00 PM - 7:30 PM2026 pool access fees are $19 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12 and $15 for seniors over 62 years old per session. Towel rentals are $5. You may bring your own towel. Lockers are available, but locks are not provided. Children under the age of 4 may only access the smallest hot spring pool and the swimming pool.
- Caution: Wildlife including bears and raccoons frequent the area. All food and coolers (regardless of contents) must kept in approved animal proof containers.
- Pets must be kept on a leash up to 6 feet in length at all times. Pets are not allowed on National Park trails at any time.
- No loud music or sound (including generators) between the hours of , and .
- Please verify you know your site prior to arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, speak with the front desk at the resort or the camp host.
- The National Park Service charges entrance fees at the entrance station on Sol Duc Road. Refer to the park Fees and Passes page.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
