Walk-in campsites were great, not too far of a walk from the parking lot, bathrooms were nice and clean. Plenty of space and lots of fun things to do.

The campground host was the best, he answered every question that we had. The campground was very clean and well taken care of. We would definitely go back to the campground, we loved it!

Nice campsite. Bathrooms were clean and never crowded. The lake was very low (early August) and a little industrial seeming but we had a nice swim. There's no service and it's far from stores but the camp hosts sell firewood and some food.
Unfortunately there was a large group flying a confederate flag during our stay. I think the hosts spoke with them but they did not take it down. I don't blame the hosts at all but it was uncomfortable for our mixed race group.

Loved the spacing between sites and all the trees and understory! Paved and easily accessible campsites. All campers seemed to adhere to the quiet hour rules!! Gorgeous Lake & Mountain View’s.

Bathrooms were clean. Water easily accessible. Campgrounds were great! Lake is about a five minute walk away, with a downhill, rocky shore, but very beautiful! About an hour to three hour drive from different spots in Olympic National Park. This campground was totally worth it!

Love this campground. The reservable group walk-in site is great. Nice for a group or for a small group to be able to spread out. Bonus for the path from camp down to the lake - generally a great paddling lake unless the wind is too strong. Be wary of brave chipmunks!

Beautiful place, well organized, clean and cared for. Even though it is relatively hard to get to, the lake level was low, and it was pouring rain, so we didn't get out to enjoy it as much as we would have liked, it is still a place we would return to.

great campground the lake is like many a low currently. the camp spots are well placed. Only suggestion dont let Googel maps take you in on NF-22 Donkey Creek. Its semi paved and one lane in places.

Lovely campground! A very interesting corner of Washington to visit for the first time, even as lifelong residents! The dam is impressive, and we enjoyed the trail around (cut off across the top to make it a 10 mile loop).

From Route 12 via Montesano: Turn north on Wynoochee Valley Road, 1 mile west of Montesano. Drive 35 miles on Wynoochee Valley Road and Forest Road 22 to a major intersection. Turn left to stay on FR-22. Drive a short distance and turn right on Forest Road 2294. Drive 1 mile to the campground.
Coho Campground is accessible via Route 12, approximately 25 miles to the south. Access to Wynoochee Valley Road is available from Route 12.
Elevation: 262 feet
97 mi drive to downtown Quilcene (about 2 hr 12 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- No commercial services available at Wynoochee Lake or Coho Campground; motorists should have sufficient fuel for the return trip.
- Reservation covers two licensed passenger vehicles and a maximum of 5 people at standard nonelectric sites; two vehicles includes any combination of passenger cars, trucks and/or recreational vehicles (boats and recreational trailers are not considered passenger vehicles); additional vehicles are $5/day to be paid within 30 minutes of arrival.
- Boat launch fee is $5; weekend boat launch permit is $5.
