Peaceful campground, and the yurt we stayed in was very clean. Bed & futon on the worn side (especially top bunk).

Wonderful back woods campground…Do NOT follow GPS and take Donkey Creek Rd. It’s literally 9ft bike path with 4ft tall weeds/flowers on either side…the campground and host are delightful…it’s rustic but that’s what you’re looking for..would definitely go back.

Pros
Spaces to park are very large in the campsites
Very picturesque, beautiful and lots of trees
Very quiet campground
The camp hosts sell lots of snacks and other miscellaneous things just in case you forgot something
Cons
The beach isn’t the greatest as there are large rocks instead of sand and no shade whatsoever.
You cannot get to the water unless you go down a steep cliff, to the boat dock or to the designated beach area.
The restrooms are ok, but the hand dryers are so loud and if you’re in a tent nearby you can hear them through the night if people use them.

Very clean campsites in a family friendly area. Camping during the week in July and sites appeared to be full up every night. Highly recommended walk in sites for those without campers/trailers, it’s not far at all.
I do wish the bathrooms didn’t have hand dryers as they are very loud. Otherwise no negatives with this site.

Lovely campground! A very interesting corner of Washington to visit for the first time, even as lifelong residents! The dam is impressive, and we enjoyed the trail around (cut off across the top to make it a 10 mile loop).

Beautiful place, well organized, clean and cared for. Even though it is relatively hard to get to, the lake level was low, and it was pouring rain, so we didn't get out to enjoy it as much as we would have liked, it is still a place we would return to.

great campground the lake is like many a low currently. the camp spots are well placed. Only suggestion dont let Googel maps take you in on NF-22 Donkey Creek. Its semi paved and one lane in places.

Love this campground. The reservable group walk-in site is great. Nice for a group or for a small group to be able to spread out. Bonus for the path from camp down to the lake - generally a great paddling lake unless the wind is too strong. Be wary of brave chipmunks!

Bathrooms were clean. Water easily accessible. Campgrounds were great! Lake is about a five minute walk away, with a downhill, rocky shore, but very beautiful! About an hour to three hour drive from different spots in Olympic National Park. This campground was totally worth it!

Loved the spacing between sites and all the trees and understory! Paved and easily accessible campsites. All campers seemed to adhere to the quiet hour rules!! Gorgeous Lake & Mountain View’s.

From Route 12 via Montesano: Turn north on Wynoochee Valley Road, 1 mile west of Montesano. Drive 35 miles on Wynoochee Valley Road and Forest Road 22 to a major intersection. Turn left to stay on FR-22. Drive a short distance and turn right on Forest Road 2294. Drive 1 mile to the campground.
Coho Campground is accessible via Route 12, approximately 25 miles to the south. Access to Wynoochee Valley Road is available from Route 12.

97 mi drive to downtown Quilcene (about 2 hr 12 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- No commercial services available at Wynoochee Lake or Coho Campground; motorists should have sufficient fuel for the return trip.
- Reservation covers two licensed passenger vehicles and a maximum of 5 people at standard nonelectric sites; two vehicles includes any combination of passenger cars, trucks and/or recreational vehicles (boats and recreational trailers are not considered passenger vehicles); additional vehicles are $5/day to be paid within 30 minutes of arrival.
- Boat launch fee is $5; weekend boat launch permit is $5.
