Iron Creek Campground

Wow! Spacious campgrounds and decent privacy. Clean vault toilets. We went July 20-23 and didn’t have any issues with mosquitos.

Very clean, peaceful, and private.

Tried canceling early enough due to heat wave as the trrms said I could get a partial refund but there was nowhere online to cancel for this campground and no phone number associated with this campground so we lost ALL of our money. Boo

We love this campground! We stayed at site 80D, which was a great location. The forest and the river are beautiful, and the campground itself was clean and pleasant.

Loved this place! Also loved how close it was to the river !

Our site was very small, but big enough for our tent and a couple of chairs, plus the picnic table and our car. We couldn't see the river, but could hear it quite well. There was no road noise, and our site was very quiet and peaceful. It was a rustic but beautiful place.

We really enjoyed this campsite last year so we planned another trip. However this time we had a group of noisy campers nearby that were up drinking and partying loudly past midnight. Not just quiet campfire talk. You could hear them even with earplugs in several campsites away. And there was another large group that allowed their kids to play night games after 10 pm throughout the campsites. (Not just their own) Then one of them got lost so there were adults at 11 pm with flashlights yelling the lost kids name and going through everyone’s campsites looking for them. Of course we want to find the lost child but the whole situation could have been avoided by respecting quiet hours and not letting kids play night games after 10 pm around everyone else’s campsites. I don’t think we will use this campsite again based on multiple groups of loud rude campers who didn’t respect quiet hours after 10pm.

It was cool with lots of cover, so that was great during a heat wave. Toilets were clean. The campsite was ready when we arrived. Pretty much everything you'd hope for was done. A couple of warnings, the last couple of miles of road is kinda worse for wear. It's got some sunk patches that look like it was flooded at some point. And I got a "multi" spot, which at other campsites means you can get several tents in there, like for several families. At Iron Creek it means 2 tents, tops, and not big tents. I'd still go back but if we had more than two couples (even just a couple kids), I'd get an extra campsite.

Nice grounds but bathroom doors slam loudly all night long.

This is a wonderful campground in a moss covered forest. All spots are secluded and you feel as if you had the whole ancient forest to yourself. The river is beautiful and shallow, you can hear the rushing water from the campground. The spots are big and graded. It is well suited for big RVs. We have a 36.5 travel trailer and we had no issues getting in and out of the campground and parking in our spot 056C. There were much bigger rigs in spots next to us. Not a very busy campground, but one of the best we have ever stayed at. The Iron Creek Falls are a 15 minuted drive up a scary bumpy "paved" road, and a 0.1mile walk to the falls. The falls are worth every bump! The water is warm enough to take a dip right in the waterfall. It is a beautiful nature spot.
