Randle is a ways away. Make sure to bring at least enough wood to make it through one night. That way if they are out. You have some. I would say that if you want to make reservations do it at the six month mark. Spots go fast. Also. Sunday to Tuesday is a good time to go. Nobody’s there. Beautiful spots. The only problem with D loop sites is people wanting to walk through or around your camp. Made me a little nervous having strangers just coming through. “Oh hey do you mind?” Just gonna walk my dog and kids through your campsite. Very rude.
Campsite hosts are good. Bathrooms-are vaults. They were clean. Thank god. Early in the season they don’t smell that terrible.
No reception. No cell phones. Plenty of hiking to be done in the park and around the area. River is very Swift early in the season. Small dogs and children should not be left unattended. Don’t get drunk at the river and ditch your kids. Duh people. I’ve been here a lot and seen some pretty terrible behavior.
Larger groups of people at the river sometimes can be a little annoying. I won’t leave my teenage kid and her friend there by themselves let’s put it that way. There are some scary hill people that come down to this park.

Memorial Day weekend. Stayed Thursday through Tuesday. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday mornings no toilet paper loop D toilets 14 and 15. Who's running this place? It was a holiday weekend and sold out. You don't service the toilets to ensure the basics until after 11:30 am? Very poor managing.

Beautiful, secluded campground! It wasn't full, which almost made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were a little sad we only had one night here.

This site has been severely neglected and does NOT have a fire ring/grill in it. This site was nice and private, however, and the atmosphere was quiet and tranquil. We have camped here in the past and had great experiences! We love it here and will continue to camp here however want to warm future campers of the lack of fire ring/grill so they are able to plan accordingly.

The Douglas firs at this campground were so majestic that it was like camping in the midst of the redwoods. Water faucets were plentiful, and we appreciated the clean toilets!

Beautiful forested campground. Loved the trail loop around the campground that had multiple areas for river access! Also fun to explore the nearby Iron Creek and Camp Creek Falls, and Layser Cave.

Campsite was great, nice dense green forest. Toilets were clean and stocked up on toilet paper.
