The campground is very pretty and clean. The bathrooms were lit at night and clean. Camp host, Sabrina, was helpful, friendly and available. She made good recommendations of places to go and see and was accurate in her descriptions. The road from Randle to North Fork is paved and nice. The road (23) from the campground to Takhelakh Lake is mostly paved but also has about 7 mi of gravel. People drive too fast on the gravel areas and you have to watch out for motorcycles popping out of the woods onto the gravel road (there are trailheads everywhere). Takhelakh Lake is worth the drive-it is beautiful. There is a trail all around the lake for mountain biking and walking (it is only about 1 mi) and there is an additional trail to the meadow off the lake trail. There were a lot of trees down but it was fun otherwise.
It is unfortunate that there are so many camping spaces that are not cleared and available for use. The closed sites are the only ones with some sunshine and open space to heat a solar shower or solar panels for battery use.
There is absolutely NO service so plan ahead and bring paper maps.

This was our first time to this campground. It was a wonderful experience, with spacious campsites, a river nearby and peaceful time away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Star gazing at night was an unforgettable memory! Not to be missed.

The camp hosts and supervisory staff were wonderful. They were attentive to our needs and worked hard to make our camping experience a good one. Over the years we have had both good and not so good staff. The people on the front line with the public can make or break a vacation experience, and they definitely helped make ours memorable.

I love the campground but this year the sites were not cleaned. I picked up lots of trash.
