What Guests Are Saying
Takhlakh Lake Campground offers stunning scenery, with beautiful views of Mount Adams and a serene lake, making it a lovely spot for camping and hiking. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and friendly hosts. However, visitors should be cautious of wildlife, like rodents, and prepare for a rough drive in, as well as the requirement to pack out trash and bring their own water.

Such a loud campground to be so remote!! I left after one night because the “frat boys” moved in beside me. I enjoy a quieter campground with some kinds of sound barrier between sites.

The campground itself is fabulous and gets 5 stars, but the road in is pretty nasty for the last 4 mi or so, especially if you are e pulling a trailer. It wont stop me from coming back, but better ingress would make it 5 stars.

Site was clean and was as advertised. Lake was gorgeous though more for paddleboarding and fishing than a swimming lake when we went, due to the multiple dead fish we found in the water. This specific site was a little too close to our neighbors than I would've preferred, so just mind that if you have noisy neighbors it may not be a good time. Thankfully our neighbors were quiet and pleasant.

We had a great time. Lake and mountain were glorious.
Mark and Beri (camp hosts) were the best!

Frustrating to have to reserve both Friday and Saturday night together. We noticed several camp sites said reserved but were no shows for either Friday night or Saturday. Realizing people were required to book both nights together explained the vacant campsites on those nights. Too bad cause there were many people coming through looking for non reservation sites that could have used those spots.
Also rude camper playing music all day long on speakers. Just use headphones so others aren’t forced to hear your music all day.
Sites very crowded together with not enough screening between.

Beautiful views of the mountains and nice clean campground. Last hour towards site is best to do with four wheel drive and bring plenty of water. Limited space for day time hanging out so would be worth 2 day stay if planning to do lake water activities.

Always a great time at Takhlakh. While it gets a lot more attention that it used to, people still manage to be decent neighbors here. Lots of critters out at night, so put your food away before going to bed. I slept in the bed of my truck and had mice crawling around the exhaust pipes all night. Be back next year!
