What Guests Are Saying
Takhlakh Lake Campground offers stunning scenery, with beautiful views of Mount Adams and a serene lake, making it a lovely spot for camping and hiking. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and friendly hosts. However, visitors should be cautious of wildlife, like rodents, and prepare for a rough drive in, as well as the requirement to pack out trash and bring their own water.

I mostly enjoyed the experience except that I brought my small boat and the boat ramp was unusable. I recommend that someone repair the lower section of the boat ramp so that someone can launch a small boat with electric motor.

Very beautiful lake with Mount Adams in the background. Busy but fairly quiet campground during our stay. Bathrooms were very maintained and clean. Walking trails were not maintained. There were Lots of down trees on the trail and overgrown bushes. Be aware when hiking, it’s not always a clear pathway. Mosquitoes weren’t too bad but the chipmunks were. Overall beautiful campground and will definitely be camping here next year!

Beautiful alpine lake setting. Warmer than expected water. It was windy when we were there.

Excellent hosts this year. Campground was tidy and bathrooms were clean. A few people tried to have fires (banned due to fire risk) and the hosts spoke to them immediately. Lake is gorgeous!

Such a loud campground to be so remote!! I left after one night because the “frat boys” moved in beside me. I enjoy a quieter campground with some kinds of sound barrier between sites.

The campground itself is fabulous and gets 5 stars, but the road in is pretty nasty for the last 4 mi or so, especially if you are e pulling a trailer. It wont stop me from coming back, but better ingress would make it 5 stars.
